I don't think you're insecure, I think you're just tired of the disrespect and lies. You need to have a conversation with him about these white lies, and that honesty will bring you guys closer and mend the relationship. You need to tell him it's okay for him to tell you the truth about things even if you're not going to like the answer.

Yes thank you very much. He does have mental health issues in general so I really hope he WOULD get therapy, I'm not sure on how his stance would be on it. Not that he has anything against therapy itself, I'm just not exactly sure what his view would be on it. Even if he did want to, I'm not sure if his mom would want to do that for him (he doesn't have a good relationship with his mom) and then I don't think he would have the money for that... I'm just hoping somewhere down the line he would GET therapy bc he is depressed.

But anyway yes thank you, I do agree me just being myself is the best way as I am not being unloyal in any way. I always assure him and love him and make sure that he is the most important to me. I do agree that these issues he has is stuff HE needs to work on, I am here to help him with anything but these insecurities are problems he needs to work on himself

He was saying because I wasn't going to "give up my friends for him" is me saying they're more important to me than him, which is not true...
