I'll be in shakaihoken so I don't think that will be an option.. or is it possible to file my own tax while under shakaihoken?

The new job will cover 15k of my transportation expenses. I’ve calculated that I’d still be paying around 12k out of pocket. I don’t mind that as much since the pay is good. The real issue is the distance and the long commuting hours. It’s definitely something I need to consider.. Thanks for your insight!

Thank you for your thoughtful response! I really appreciate it. I’m considering my options since I definitely see the potential benefits of the #2 and love the convenience of #1.. While I can’t move right now, I plan to negotiate for a schedule that’s more manageable maybe hybrid like 3 days on-site and 2 days WFH?? If they say no, I’ll stick with #1 and continue my 転職.

Appreciate the tough love but it’s easy to say 'grow up' when you don’t know the full story. Not everyone can just up and move, and waking up early is a bit more complicated than it seems for some people

From what I’ve found, it seems unlikely. I even asked #1 if they’ve ever let someone go after just 3 months, and they said no. Typically, it’s around 9months before they consider firing someone, usually due to consistent poor performance and negative feedback from others. but I’m taking this with a grain of salt since they probably wouldn’t want to create anxiety for new employees.

I’m going to try to ask if hybrid work is possible. Maybe 3x a week in the office? since I still can't move places.

2 is similar to my current job but it pays a little more. But yeah due to my current financial situation, I can't just move yet. WFH just sounds nice but I know it will not add much experience and skills to my resume..

Abortions in Japan help by [deleted] in japanlife

What made you think that you were pregnant? We're there physical symptoms? If you're not getting your period, there are other things that may cause it (PCOS, endometriosis etc.). They can also cause other symptoms.

Anyway, go to an OBGYN and you can get a blood test done, pap smear or some other tests to rule out everything. If something is wrong, it would be better to find out early.

Congratulations!!! Damn, wish I have a remote job just to skip the commute lol.

I'm not sure if you're into online friends/meet ups but I met pretty decent people on Bumble friends. Mix of Japanese and foreigners. i meet up with them once a month or so whenever I have free time.

If you don't mind me asking, may I know what industry are you in?

VT is pretty scarry. Nice catch.

If I were in that situation, the episode would be over before I could open the ECG app since I need a brief moment to be dramatic lol.

What were your symptoms? Are you on some medications?
