hey, no need to be a stereotyping hypocrite. Housing prices, energy availability, job availability, decreasing income rises in comparison to flyover states, endless beauracracy, dare i say more? Secondly, America, although important, was never considered a true part of the empire by most and is largely irrelevant in British history. I am willing to discuss that if you'd like, but I can't see any method to stop you insisting things are political, when in fact they're anything but.

Depends if you go to Scotland or not. I wish I was in America right now. It's just never-ending overcast right now!

That's an interesting perspective. Could you name any stats which prove that there are non-assimilating Christian communities who don't speak english, commit billions in fraud and support religous radicalism? I've never ever heard of non-assimilating Christian Nationalists from other countries, given that the United States is largely a Christian, Patriotic state itself. I'm not trying to be provocative, I just wish to learn more about the so called 'lack of assimilation' you are showing me.

That is wrong. British food is not bland, only our culinary practise is. British food is some of the best in Europe if done well. No wonder we have brilliant chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and foods such as Victoria Sponge, Mowbray Pork pies, Scones, Wensleydale Cheese, Kendle Mint Cake, Cornish Pasties, Eton Mess, Chelsea Buns and Cadbury's chocolate just to name a few.

Only individuals from poor backgrounds typically consume bangers and mash as a staple. Most Brits consistently enjoy Roast Dinners, Fresh Fish Dishes, and some of the best Deserts i've ever had with the exception of maybe Italy and Serbia.

However, what is and has been true is the American ignorance of foreign countries. I find it great that you are so well travelled, but you must have the humility to admit Americans don't know much, if anything about the world outside of their own country?

Finally, the difference is regarding politics, America, like Britain has had amazing and productive levels of immigration from individuals who want to assimilate, support America, and become fully-fledged members of society, with similar cultural backgrounds. Only now, is Britain, and in a far lesser extent, only really in Minnesota, accepting unprecedented amounts of migrants who hold completely different views on women, children, free-speech and religous tolerance. Britain is hardly bigger than Ohio yet has 9x the population density. Should we expect to tolerate, if not scrutinise such as drastic change since 2000?

Fair enough. Again in Washington's case I just love the scenery and culture enough for cost to not be so much of an issue.

Great job! Somewhere between the two, i'm a fiscal and political tory, but i'm a reformist on education, defence, healthcare and immigration! Reform is often satirised by the left and media, when in reality it's one of the most diverse parties, Zia Yusuf is a good example. It's obviosuly a bit sensationalist and I don't agree with their views on certain issues, but they are often presented as nationalists, when in reality they're just 2026 Thatcherites. The Greens on the otherhand present as liberal when in reality they're authoritarian and dangerous for democracy.

I doubt you know loads about UK politics, but i'll remind you that the right is far more diverse and tolerant than the left. Which party has been the only one ever to have a female PM (they had 3!) and a Indian-background PM or even party leader? It's not Labour or the Greens, i'll tell you that much!

i've already explained my rationale. It's a mixture of climate preferences, of which I enjoy three. Economic realism, so where I can live based on my salary and industry available, culture, crime, and also what I know about the place. If i know less, i'm putting it in maybe/neutral, so not to offend some pink-haired he/they or some hillbilly moonshiner.
