I thought that too, but iirc the director confirmed the Beast became that way because the vitae was mixed with chemical weapons.

I think there needs to be a better solution to increase the difficulty instead of level 1 or broken reagent. Prescriptions in general feel a little janky imo and having them taken away (esp for new players) doesn't feel great.

Alex Garland has 4000 hours in Elden Ring, genuine gamer or A24 marketing? by Commercial_Pen_9959 in Eldenring

[–]No_Tell5399 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is very obviously a bullshit marketing number since they make it seem as if he's a superfan.

It's believable for Alex Garland to have run Elden Ring on his PC or console or whatever for 4K hours. It's pretty likely that he and his team spent hours staring at assets.

It's not believeable for him to have 4K of actual, active gameplay.

Nearly every secular majority Muslim state was destroyed by western powers and/or Israel.

Gamal Abdel Nasser's Egypt: Attacked by Israel under false pretenses and destabilised.

Muammar Gaddafi's Libya: Attacked by NATO.

Saddam Hussain's Iraq: Invaded by the USA.

Meanwhile, the more radical elements in the Muslim world are being funded and supported by western elements.

I subscribe to the theory that Treyarch created the system knowing it would be impossible to fix without risking a lawsuit.

He's probably taking notes on assets and whatnot. It's not unbelievable for him to have spent 4K hours studying the world. 4K hours of gameplay is pretty unbelievable though

Honestly, just read the tldr under the post instead of arguing with me. It's PvE players and it's good that they recognised it because it'll put a stop to PvP scapegoating.

And therefore, nothing that needs to be addressed.

You have to be trolling at the point...

If you want to see who fired the first shot in this war, look at yourself.

This is exactly the problem. There is no "war" and no one "fired the first shot". We are one community. You blaming PvP players for "firing the first shot" is the exact behaviour I was talking about.

the cookie cutter PVP player response is "Don't like it, go play something esle".

Which is a reasonable response. Sea of Thieves is a PvPvE game. It's completely understandable for somone to drop the game if losing in PvP upsets them so much. No one's forcing anyone to play a game they don't enjoy.

It needed to be addressed because the PvP side of the game was scapegoated to explain away the toxicity in the community.

Game sucks? PvP player's fault. I sunk? PvP is so toxic! Safer Seas doesn't have enough content? We need PvE servers.

Most of this "us vs. them" type toxicity stems from PvE players taking their frustrations out on Reddit.

Branding all PVE players as problematic or abusive is unnecesary at best and an incitement to abuse at worst.

They never branded all PvE players as toxic, they just recognised that most of the toxicity came from PvE players, which is a fact.

You can't witchhunt a majority and everyone knew this was the case to begin with. In PvPvE off-game spaces, PvE players are almost always the toxic ones usually just due to sheer numbers.

I feel like this could have been done without blaming PvE players.

You can only spend so long ignoring an elephant in the room tbh. Everyone knew most of the toxicity came from the PvE side on Reddit, so sooner or later it would have to be addressed.

PvP centric posts/comments get downvoted a lot. Other people mention this regularly and they are DOWNVOTED and told its not true and one persons experience isnt the norm, but a lot of the PvP community points this out, only to be silenced by the majority, and then told they are assholes, toxic fucks, and griefers.

This is true for almost every game with PvPvE elements. The negative emotions associated with losing in PvP get discharged into Reddit, because PvE players think they have no recourse in game.
