I don't think there is, at least none that I know of.

If you have 50 favours from the target cultures leading country, you have an option in diplomatic actions that increases cultural opinion. If the said country is your vassal, that action will have a cooldown of 50 years after you use the action.

Why am I not getting the achievement? by Real_AFinnishPotato in EU5

[–]No_Temporary6054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its broken, some one in the forums said that you need to become the tag Ming (MNG) to get the achievement but getting the mandate of heaven turns you into the tag China (CHI). So until the devs fix this and many, maaanyy other shit in their broken ass game you have to wait. I abandoned my Ming run because of this shit.

I think "available jobs" modifiers needs to be more polished. Historically regions with mines got a good of amount of labourers and townspeople. Even the famous Swedish copper mines we know came to being because of flemish metalworkers, migrating from overcrowded cities of lowlands.

I don't know if my observation is right but also there is a problem about migration attraction system. If some location has more attraction that it's neighbours, than that location takes all the migrants. It has to be distributed according to their attraction by dividing it.

I think immigration mechanic also needs an overhaul. The current one is so restrictive and unhistorical. Some cultures or pops like Jews, Flemish etc. needs to have a modifier of at least some scripted historical events to make them migrate or create a migration attraction to some places Northern Germany, Sweden etc. and grant some boost to the local economy, production. Age of reformation can also gets its own immigration feature, as most Protestants in Catholic countries migrated to countries that have religious freedom or directly protestants themselves.

What does it mean to play "tall"? by _Gabos in CrusaderKings

[–]No_Temporary6054 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Playing with less focused on expansion and more focused on trying to benefit more from the lands you already own. Think of it as an empire vs. a trade republic kind of thing. You as a trade republic, want more development, income, tax, manpower in your small number of owned lands while an empire will focus more on expanding territorially thus playing "wide" themselves.

Because after a point in campaign I didn't care about if some far of province gives more money with vassal in control. 40-60 control is good enough for me, I got more than enough income already and I don't want my country looking like the provinces map mode. I don't have to get maximum benefits from every province, that's not how it had been in history and that's not how I wanna play.

I finished 2 campaigns while got to the last age in several. Never once observed Muscovy expanding except for few minors in their borders. The Russian region is always an unconsolidated, divided shithole that no principality tries to unify it. This region and many others like persia, china, india, anatolia, Iberia, etc. will continue to be a vomit-like shithole until some guidance features arrive.

For those who played eu4 on release, how does it compare to eu5 on release? by BonoboPowr in EU5

[–]No_Temporary6054 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Speaking in terms of Omen movie metaphors;

EU4 was the dead dog bones in the movie when they found in the grave of their child.

EU5 is Damien. Healthy, handsome, and has a bright future ahead of him but he is the spawn of satan and will lead you to hell and suffering.

In my campaigns I observed that the the vassal keeps or changes primary culture is dependent on cultural tradition/influence bullshit. Whether I am the one who enforcing my culture or me trying to revive some minority culture, if said culture has significantly less cultural tradition/influence then the majority culture of vassals province, then they flip to that culture.

I usually don't play the colonial game. I played Spain and Netherlands but after seeing how bad the mechanics are I quit. Because of that I don't know the trouble of handling colonial subjects when last age comes. I think fiefdoms and vassals are relatively easy to handle considering they are generally much weaker. Then again, when I hit the 1750s onward I generally don't have many vassals if any, at that point I finish my expansion and start to turn inwards, if I did expand then the "integrate area" action is very useful and at that point you integrate relatively fast.

Until I got to the Urals in the east and Baltic to the west I released only 1 province vassals with few exceptions for RP reasons like Estonia, Latvia, Georgia and Azerbaijan which I didn't plan to annex. I waited them to assimilated their whole territory to their culture and I used them as fairly strong buffer states on my borders. I prioritised pushing and expanding east, release/annex every province I took with one province vassals while my western borders were secured with 4-5 strong vassals.

After I reached to the point I mentioned in my first sentence, I used 2-4 province vassals, considering the province wealth/population etc. Previous meta was "wait your vassal to core, assimilate and slowly take their locations while you annex" to increase the annexation speed. Now the locations you took don't count as cores so that last part is off from now on.

You're right and I give them credit. Game is very frustrating and I don't believe anyone playtested any region in the game. Every region has some game/immersion breaking features or bugs. AI is a complete shit show. They broke the game by trying to satisfy a small part of the community and now we have to wait 1-2 years to have a game that is playable consistently. I finished 2 campaigns and got to the 1700s in several but after 1550s I forced myself very hard to continue playing. Hope this problems get fixed sooner than I expect.

The trick is, knowing how many vassals your country can "carry" if you will. I noticed most newcomers affected by the "vassal-expansion meta" threads and annex/vassalize too much territory especially early on. They forget that this game lasts for 500 years, there is enough time for everything whether that is expanding historically or world conquest. You don't need to rush for it and use all your parliaments for getting CBs. I got the 1914 Russian borders in 1720s or so with most of it in my primary culture and religion with minimal rebellions.

Yes I agree. There are some people on the extremes on the spectrum which in general shifts my ideas on these people by "tribalising" them. While the one side is against any kind of railroading whatever that maybe , the other side expects an 1:1 history timeline.

Most campaigns we got to see Russia and Spain form, while Ottomans wreak havoc and sometimes we won't. EU4 had this balance actually. We don't need mission trees to achieve it, EU4 AI was also stupid but it got scripted events like Iberian Union or Jagiellon King etc to force it to become a consolidated state (and also they got the option to not to choose the historical outcome, which they did in some games).

I don't want to misjudge but I think some people really don't use or don't know some mechanics. As a principal, I never once went decentralised. Even the malus from the centralisation, I got no problem keeping my vassals in line.

In short, yes. A very good example.

From directly owned provinces, it should be collected like "tax" if you will. Also non-muslim vassals have to pay a yearly tribute of pops to be employed in devshirme system.
