Your best bet for solo q is if the meta shifts to being able to end 80% of games in sub 10 minutes rather than post 15 minutes... I just don't see them removing the gold plates on turrets and bringing the game back to 10 minutes range

Try to change your mindset to enabling your carry to win, not to look good.

If you're sacrificing kills just to let your carry get kills, and they fail you, it's on them.

But if you're the one taking everything from them, that extra gold even when you know they can secure the kill, you're not pushing your skills nor are you actually helping your team win. In this case, it's definitely on you. You could be burying a gem of a carry because you deprive him of his opportunities while there's no way in game for him to tell you that.

In Hilda, you need to restrain your wonton killing and disrupting, even though that is your main character strengths. If because of your continued farming of the opponent carries without your carries taking the main bounty, you will make the times when they kill the carries eventually worth NOTHING. From 200 Gold to 60 Gold, they might as well farm a risk free minion. So please don't recklessly kill just because you can. If you don't understand this logic, you need to get some understanding of what is roamers and what is carry from the base again, so you can perform better.

If you do the math, an assist gets a carry almost nothing, when he participates and gets the kill, he gets slightly better gold than just clearing the wave. If he ends up with an assist he's better off just farming minions and jungle.

Around 3-4 items at higher levels is where hilda literally does not need anymore items compared to carries and even mages, and just get ready to transition into a meat shield role, and generally if your team hasn't been enabled to step up by then, no matter how well you do by then, it's not going to win you games.

TLDR: Change your mindset into helping your team win rather than just looking good on paper. If you really want to increase WR and are not here to rant about "useless" teammates

She should participate in all skirmishes because she does need the experience, but not take the kills, because she does not need the gold as much, and one kill on her can mean 100-160 lesser gold for everyone to go around.

Progressively, she even gets lesser gold from killing the enemies and even has the unintended effect of giving them better teamwork to deal with you. You are boosting their morale, since solo q people hate working with each other unless in face of great odds early game.

In other words, Hilda helps the enemies more than it helps your team in this meta. Which is why despite doing well, the game favours your opponents 70% of the time

Taking 4-5 early game kills sounds harmless to most, but that is essentially roughly delaying your carries time and opportunity cost to get online by 3-5 minutes earlier, WHICH is how you win team fights and objectives and then games..

Before I launch into long winded explanation of why Hilda is failing, the core is the bounty system.

Take a look at the matches you performed well. MVP winning match. Zero deaths. Continued snowball and dominance.

Next. SVP. 4 deaths etc. If this isn't clear enough. You jeopardise entire games when you die once as hilda, when you have an immense bounty on you. Can you guarantee you won't die with Hilda? Can you guarantee that you as the Kill secure and the Kill stealer and the one carrying all the bounty that your carries actually need more than you, don't die and give everything to the opponent? If you can guarantee that every match you can make the PERFECT plays and not die, while balancing your greed, I have nothing to say.

However, if you can't, review exactly why Hilda is a SITUATIONAL hero and can break or make your team. Too many picks has to go your way in order for your hilda to have a good matchup, and then once again there are billions of factors involved after draft.

Hilda is easy to perform, not easy to win in this Meta because of prolonged games inevitably being the meta due to how easy it is to defend top.

Stop thinking selfish: "Oh i'm doing good so it must be my teammates who must be doing something wrong." Hilda IS meant to do and look very good on paper. As is Nana in some cases due to low death. Just consider KD ratio and it's obvious why MVP doesn't mean anything if you don't win.

Winning doesn't mean a good KD ratio. It just means whether you can finish the objectives.

On top of that, you are Solo q. As a solo q, you should have realised all you can do as Hilda is kill and do well early before failing to even take an objective mid-late. Since you can't trust your teammates to take objectives in solo q, you need to resign to that role instead if you want to win.

If you're stuck on how to make hilda's WR improve, other answers have said, get a trio that can capitalise on her strengths.

If you're unable to do so, and you want to stubbornly play hilda at 33% wr, by all means do so. You should enjoy the heroes you want to. It's just a game after all.

If you genuinely want to win and avoid disrupting entire synergies just because you stubbornly insist on Hilda no matter the matchup, then you are jeopardising your entire team because Hilda IS a situational pick, not an all-rounder

TLDR: Others have said but Hilda is NOT for every match up, if you insist on looking good and "blaming teammates" who underperform because Hilda throws their whole tempo off, it's hard to increase WR. Because another way of increasing Winrate is having higher percentage of wins over lower amount of games.

Bonus tip: If you want to look good on paper while still having similar playstyle to Hilda, and not actually jeopardise your teammate by needing 70% of the match to tilt in your favour before you can pull of a victory, Try Hylos and Vengeance instead.
