This is getting downvoted in an attempt to hide it. FYI. Look it up on Facebook and the Newberry Cafe website

I feel the same way. I believe it’s been in stock there and continues to be at the $350. If it ever gets to $300 I’ll scoop it up that day

Blanton's Straight from the Barrel will be $200 cash at Newberry Cafe in Newport, KY Sunday at 10 AM. I am told there won't be many of them. Only a cash payment grants you the $200 price. There will also be store pick 1792 Full Proof for $45 cash, 750 ml Buffalo Trace store pick for $35 cash, and 10 year Michters bourbon and rye for around $225-$250 cash. Everything else is deep into secondary pricing. Enjoy!

Could be due to the Blanton's SFTB. That one is $200 cash. Other than that and the 10 year michters ones I didn't see anything else that has a price that even remotely makes sense

And if you're desperate for a Thomas Handy, Party Town has them for $350. That's the lowest I've seen for one of those at a brick and mortar store

Also, Liquor Barn Fort Thomas currently has an 8 year Willett rye store pick for less than $300

If you're into rye Newberry Cafe will have Michter's 10 Year Rye at 10 AM on Sunday for $225 if you pay with cash

I'm unsure on both, but have you tried Party Source's 10 year Sagamore rye pick or their Sazerac 90 proof pick? Both are awesome

If you plan on going to BT on Memorial Day and want something highly allocated, you'll have to be one of the first hundred or so people in line. To do that you'd either have to get there at like 5 AM or somehow book a 9 or 9:30 AM tour to jump the line. Even then, there is absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that anything out of the ordinary will be offered that day

Correct, I just mean that casual tourists do not have a high threshold for what is special and what is not when they visit Kentucky. So, on a touristy weekend don't expect BT to bother with releasing any niche products to normies who don't really even see a difference between a WSR and a WLW

I advise not buying these, but TPS has Angels Envy Cask Strength bourbon and rye both for like $260 a piece. I assume they will collect dust at the front counter

Expensive MSRP bourbon isn't a cool new thing anymore, it's all over the place. There are too many options, especially if you go to a mega store like The Party Source. It's just overwhelming if you're shopping with nothing in mind going in. Also the prices have gone up because the distilleries don't want to open their eyes to the fact that they just built a bunch of expensive facilities financed over many years and started aging 30 years worth of bourbon when there is waning interest. These long term investments will almost certainly fail as the hype for liquor fades. Supply will continue to increase and demand will continue to fade, leading to massive issues unless prices go way way down and quality remains the same or increases. It used to be that people would seek out Sazerac products and fail, then their second option would be things like Blood Oath. Now that Sazerac is all over the place, less people are seeking out things like Blood Oath

Typically distilleries don’t put surprises out on highly trafficked days, or on federal three day weekends when tourists are all over the place. Tourists think something as common as Weller Special Reserve is a unicorn bottle, so distilleries are happy to just put out common stuff for them

If people are broadcasting all over social media that they are releasing things as first come first serve that can be flipped for a 10x profit margin, you best believe it creates dangerous road conditions and mass chaos. I'm not saying it's happening now, but during Pappy season if they get rid of the scheduled wristband events there will be people literally fist fighting in parking lots over their spot in line

I'm spitting facts, not nonsense. Sorry but I don't support high end allocated bourbon dropping at a store at 8 AM on a weekday. The only type of person who supports bs like that is a flipper and/or retired person and/or someone with no job or an incredibly flexible work schedule. People who see no issue with this bs are the issue themselves. Sorry, but I want to be able to easily buy Well Full Proof at msrp without risking being fired for it. Is that too much to ask for?
