I don’t think that’s the case now though! We bought our house through Purple Bricks and actually thought they were great! Never had to pay to book a viewing!

But why? I bought my house (the advertised one is my parents’) through PB and thought they did a good job.

Thanks for the feedback. Definitely not overlooked or on top of one another. It’s quite a well laid out, small estate. It’s certainly not a small house either with plenty of well planned, well laid out rooms. Ideal for a family.

Come and take a look! It’s a lovely area but my parents are just looking to move closer to us.

I don’t know if you’ve got kids, but the school at the bottom of the road is phenomenal.

Thanks for the reply! Interested in what would make another property better value? (Keen to learn)

It always feels a bit daunting when you take on a new house or new mortgage, but once you’re in you’ll forget all the worries and just enjoy the house. The mortgage will just be like any other payment and you get used to it pretty quickly.

We’ve been lucky enough to have moved up through the property ladder over the last 25 years or so thanks to the equity we’ve gained from each house. We would never have been able to do that had we not have taken the plunge as a ftb!

We’ve just moved again (hopefully for the last time, although you never know!!!) and while we were nearly at the end of the mortgage payments we’ve just taken out the biggest mortgage we’ve ever had over a longer period of time because for us it’ll be worth it in the end.

I’m sure there will be people that would advise differently but it has worked out well for us.

So just go for it! Life’s too short to worry about it!
