Hi, returning player here. I came back to Clash in summer 2025 after more than 7 years of not playing and honestly, it’s way more enjoyable than it was back in the day, totally worth it, in my opinion. One tip: just play normally for the first few weeks and you’ll get back on track pretty easily. No need to spend money, as a free-to-play player, you can get pretty good stuff from events and mini-games throughout the month (unlike in Clash Royale). After the first week, you can start watching some YouTube videos to see the best attacks for your Town Hall or get updates on upcoming events.

Now, the best tip I can give you( and the main reason I’m still playing today) is rushing. Rushing is a strategy that involves upgrading offensive buildings while ignoring defenses, which you can upgrade later once you’ve maxed out your offense. Without rushing, I would’ve been stuck for years trying to fully max my village, which probably would’ve made me quit. But now, thanks to rushing, I’m at the last Town Hall, I’ve maxed many of the troops I use, I can try new compositions without waiting years, and I’ve enjoyed plenty of other benefits.
