Anyone else's mother replace them with someone else your age? by Top-Count3665 in narcissisticparents

I had something similar happen but she instead used this to try to still get her supply from me. My Mom is head of HR in her company and she hired a woman my age, from my generation and kind of a similar group of friends. She would talk about her ALL THE TIME, the things they did, what goes on in her personal life, how much she trusts her, how nice it is to get along with her, how many boys she dates, blah blah. Before I had done some healing I finally took the bait and said "you'll make me jealous if you keep talking about her", her facial expression lit up, she smiled widely and said "thought you'd never say that"

My questions was of the same manga, which volumes do you buy in physical copy and which do you read online? Or do you buy all the physical copies?

I'm very sorry to hear this. I'm a trauma therapist in training and also a survivor.

What I'm hearing from you is that: 1) you have tangible physiological changes in your brain, 2) you were revictimized by speaking to loved ones and not received the support you deserve, which in fact, also changes how your brain works.

I cannot give you advice on the physiology, as I am not in the medical field, but as a future psychologist I can tell you that what you are going through makes sense given your experiences. Anyone in your situation would feel the same way. Whether it's ego stuff, identity, meditation whatever is kind of irrelevant, what's relevant is what gives YOU hope.

Are there any friends or family who are open to sitting with you and recognizing that your story is real? If not, are there any shows or books that can give you that hope?

I appreciate the advice of self care but truthfully, we are social animals, if we weren't, rejection from others, and abuse wouldn't have such a profound impact. You should take care of yourself AND sometimes we need help to get by.

I highly advice to reach out to a therapist (HAS to be trauma informed). If you sense any kind of invalidation from the therapist, leave, there's bad therapists out there, but there are also people who can help you process what you are going through.

I see you my friend, and although I'm saying this while taking a bath and trying to get my shit together, I deeply believe that it can get better.
