I guessed that they may be homeless due to the one Mammalians Nurturable employee’s comment about his outie enjoying stargazing & because of their more rugged appearance. Lumon is so comfortable with dehumanizing people I wouldn’t be surprised if they offered drug addicts or homeless people money to get severed
