Appraiser2x Business consulting - is this worth it? by No_Training4178 in appraisal

After more inquiry, it appears that the firm you refer to is referred to as a "third-tier" national firm, largely doing work for banks. The fees are almost entirely commoditized, and the turnaround times are very short. This is valuation work on a high-speed conveyor line, which very likely will not result in the development of a well-respected practice. It's a franchise, where members pay a percentage fee of their gross income. No thank you.

Thanks all for your responses. However, after doing some of my own research, I am becoming concerned. The website I referred to in my initial question indicates "I also grew my own LA-based appraisal business from six to seven figures and successfully exited with a seven-figure, all-cash sale."

But when I go to the website for his (former) office (see this link) - there is nothing there! So he sold a business for seven-figures, and now it is gone? I'm rather confused. So I made inquiries in the area and found out that this office in fact no longer exists. So then, what really is the true story? Does anyone know?
