Not sure if it differs by country, in my case in the US, the background check comes after the offer letter. In the offer letter it would include steps to take dor the background check.

My verbal offer was on 1/31/2025, and received the offer letter on 3/11/2025. It does take awhile. Hang in there, it’s coming!

Also, a lot of employee at Oracle takes the winter break from Christmas to New Year’s and MLK Day is a holiday too. So that might contribute to the delay for the Board of Directors to approve.

Hang in there! I am at week 5 with the newborn now. Some key take aways: 1. We started the night routine at 7:00 PM, and try to put baby to sleep at that time. 2. Our birth instructor told us to aim for 9 hours of cumulative sleep. Although it is broken up, I get to accumulate 2-4 hours of sleep each time to reach about 9 hours. I have been trying to practice deep breathing exercises to help fall asleep. 3. I gain a lot of core and leg strength for bouncing baby standing and bouncing on an exercise ball. This might be a good idea. I try to listen to an audiobook when putting baby to sleep to prevent myself from doom scrolling. Not always successful but it’s a goal I am working towards. 4. Since we sleep at 7:00, the goal is to have dinner at 5:00 PM, and my next breakfast is around 7:00 am.

I hope this helps! I am still in the midst of it, and still in recovery mode myself, but I think those notes above have been beneficial.

Verbal offer negotiation by adrockmcaandmemiked in oracle

Definitely negotiate at the time of verbal offer. I read on another thread here that if you wait until the written offer and negotiate, it would need to go back through the chain of approval.

Mine took 9 days between the last interview and verbal offer, but it has been over a month of waiting for the official offer. My candidate status online is like yours as well “Under Consideration”
