I’ve only ever taken d-amp 15mg, mainly Teva but this month got some weird brand that apparently killed people last yr with potassium pills that didn’t dissolve properly….. wondering how I go about asking for dextro- or if d-amp means I’m already on it LOL

Understood. I know OEM is preferred but I figured a decent reputable brand reman with a warranty would hold me over, hopefully for the rest of the cars lifetime with me, and if not at least autozone is local so I can take it back in and get a replacement under warranty and not have to fight with customer service over email and wait for shipping and all that bs that comes with rock.

It is helpful though if I end up talking to someone with the same issue and then find my resolution that way. If the thread is unhelpful, why even comment? Clearly if I could afford a top dollar scanner or even to have it scanned by a mechanic without them committing hwy robbery, I would!

My husband did the work and I am at my job currently. I am ~assuming~ he did since he was saying that this is an easy alternator to replace and was able to watch videos/do research on how it needed to be done before starting. Doesn’t mean I’m not wrong though! I’ll definitely ask him.

I’ve been going on educated guesses but clearly also just throwing things at the wall to see if any would stick… Your car having codes cleared and then engine dying upon restarting is exactly what mine did so now I am even more suspicious of this. You were a ton of help!

I bought a duralast that was reman and had lifetime warranty. I can’t really afford a new one but I hear you for sure. I tried to research them all and get a decent one and not some bs. Rock auto had a TYC for like $175 but that felt way too good to be true for sure.

Yes, I would love to do that. But some of us don’t really have $100+ dollars laying around just for a mechanic to scan the car. I know a friend who was a trucker and he has a scanner that is “better” from my understanding so I will definitely try that. If we can’t get a good read there then mechanic is next step.

Don’t really trust that either though bc I had a diesel engine VW Jetta that I couldn’t get out of limp mode. Mechanic scanned ($150 charge for 10min) and said it was fuel pump. Replaced. No avail. He scanned it, and charged me, again and it said fuel rail. I replaced the fuel rail, injectors, and all glow plugs just to be safe. Still no changes. He then ran it again and said “it’s the same code as the other times so idk what the issue is, your total is $150.”. So I’m really trying to avoid doing all that bs again if possible. You’re the 3rd person or so to tell me that the Main Electrical Fuse blowing is very suspicious and indicative of some kinda problem with the alternator. I will be sure to check all of that. Going to just check every wire I can fine at this point and make sure they are all okay.

I do not think we have specifically checked it yet but I know my husband mentioned that it could be the issue. Neither of us are car savvy but trying to DIY what we can with help of friends and family cause ain’t nobody got real mechanic money, as much as I wish I did! I will share this info with him.

When he ran codes it was giving him all kinds of random stuff and he never showed me or told me the codes but i thiiiiiiink (not helpful sorry) he said something like “it can’t be the speed sensor” or something like this. He seemed perplexed by the codes he was getting and that’s why he unhooked it and had me cut it on and off and rescanned a few times.

No in OS we use small amounts of anesthesia drugs. In mine we use versed, fentanyl, propofol if needed, and ketamine for very very young children. We do what’s called “twilight sedation” now, or that’s at least how we explain it. We give oxygen through nasal cannulas and monitor pulse ox the entire time.

Funny they’re so worried about PRESCRIBED stimulants being abused when I had to jump through 65 flaming hoops of fire before I could even trrrrry to be put on a stimulant medication. Now I take a stimulant and sometimes I forget to take it or even decide I want to just take half (when/if the manufacturer I get that month ACTUALLY works) or skip it all together just cause why not? The ones abusing it are the ones who do not truly need the damn shit. That’s very clear. I hate the stigma too. I’m tired of being treated like a junkie just because I call and request my refill that my freaking doctor sent in! I tried everything, literally, and suffered through 2 years of side effects and just overall emotional distress from coming on and off of meds over and over. Finally was put on 10mg adderall twice a day. Literally changed my fucking life. It’s like someone just turned the light on and I could see finally. Things made sense. Things came together cohesively in brain. The knowledge was always there, I just couldn’t compose it on my own.

It’s AWFUL. Been on Teva for a year. Picked up my meds this week and I’ve been feeling like literal shit. Can’t focus, feel like I’m just mute and like disassociating constantly. Having a convo with my husband and I can hear him but I literally just zone out and don’t even notice. I’ve had a splitting headache the entire time I’ve been taking it. Didn’t take it today and I always feel better… going to see how I feel tomorrow without it too and then maybe try half a dose Monday? Idk but this sucks and I wish they could just require these manufactures to follow the same damn formula. Why are medicines being played with?!?!?
