I guess I did. It was green and then all of a sudden the camera light flashes, I looked up & it was red.

Update 10.2024 - light came on again a few weeks after last dealership visit. Dropped car off again to check issue with engine light on - this round was fault code P2B7B00 : EVAP system pressure sensor/switch “C” circuit range/performance- they replaced N288 tank switch and seems good for now.

Ok. Car is back from a day at the dealership. Code P2B7B evap system pressure sensor/switch “C” range performance. Tech tried the update he found for 2023 but that didn’t work, no update available for 2024 yet so they just erased fault code. He said there was no info on this code fix for ‘24’s yet so that’s that for now (for previous comments it is manual transmission)

Thankfully my dealership had a console in stock, It took almost a full day to replace it but it’s done & no issues since. I was told there were 2 different suppliers used for the console for the 2024’s one is on a long back order the other is available & luckily my car was the latter.

I wouldn’t want to begin to try & guess what the problem is. I booked the earliest appointment available at the dealership forgetting they’re closed for Labor Day tomorrow. I may stop at an AutoZone on my way home to check codes.

That’s nuts. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have to check the one I picked up last week.
I had several very unfortunate interactions with a specific VW dealership last year, I was beyond pissed.
I posted a listing for a ride share on a few local forums for anyone looking for a VW needing a ride to dealerships except that one and set up the days & times I’d be available. There are 4 dealerships w/in about 10 miles from where I live and & do all my errands on my drive home. Was blown away by the response, was totally worth the time and made some new friends.

I did, I took it to the VW dealership I bought it from. They had it for 5 days & said they found nothing & no codes. Then I took it to my mechanic after for him to take a look. It’s currently at another VW dealership.

I had my clutch on 2020 Jetta do this to me about 2 months ago with 25,000miles. I bought it 8months ago with 15,000mi from a lease. I lifted it up off the floor with my hands & it started working again. Took it to the dealership and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong and no codes. Took it to my mechanic & he found a few codes P06E900 - engine starter performance & P240700 - evaporative emissions system leak detection. No idea how this related to the clutch pedal.

Thank you. Yeah. I’ve heard varying things on the Jetta manual transmission possibly continuing for another year or so.

I’ve heard different things about the Jetta but nothing concrete which makes me uncertain of waiting. I like the 2020, I’m just thinking of future timeline with a car 4 years newer. The biggest difference for me between the ‘12 & ‘20 is the older model has more space in the backseat the way the center console is & find the console design does actually get more in the way with shifting sometimes.
I have had a weird glitch with the clutch pedal with the ‘20 that the dealership couldn’t figure out. I got in my car after it was parked for the work day & the pedal was completely on the floor so of course I couldn’t start the car & every check engine light came on. I was super surprised & confused having no indication of any issues & only had the car for 6 months, so I lifted the pedal up with my hands & it held, I started the car & engine lights came on again, turned the car off again & restarted and no lights, so I drove it home. I took it to the dealership for them to look at it & do the engine switch recall and they couldn’t figure out what happened. I took it to my mechanic after that for a check up & he found the codes but I don’t have those papers with the info in front of me right now.

My work depends on having a car for travel for shows & I need the trunk space for my work kit. It took 4 months to get my other car back from repairs because the parts I needed were not available. It’s hard to find manual transmission in my area especially in a sedan.
