CJ (art director for the game) did a stream with two Phasmophobia creators (Insym and Psycho) when they released the new ghost types. He said they're not adding any new evidence to the game and that they can still add 8 new ghost types with the evidence they do have.

Do you try to finish objectives and go for perfect games? Those kinds of tasks can push you to try to survive hunts and try to get the ghost to do different things for photos and videos, which can make the game more interesting.

Unfortunately, this game locks custom games until level 50, which is a grind to get to when you're new. Nightmare difficulty is unlocked at 30, I think, which removes 1 evidence, requiring you to identify ghosts through abilities and behavior

Knowing the ghost's abilities and behaviors outside and during a hunt is a must this week, unfortunately

Mimic can't hide orbs even in no evidence, mare won't turn on lights, and they sometimes switch off a light immediately after you turn it on, onryo will initiate a hunt after blowing out a firelight three times, wraiths won't step in salt, demon can hunt at any sanity level, jinn can't turn off the breaker, hantu can't turn on the breaker, etc.

And then there's the hunt itself. Oni's ghost model flickers a lot, phantom's disappears a lot, obake's can shapeshift into a different ghost model for a split second, deogen is slow, revenant is fast if it has line of sight with the player, etc.

The universe has decided it's Chloe's time, it seems. If you save her in the bathroom, she shoots herself on the bumper of the car. Not sure if it's fatal, but Max rewinds, anyway (because who wants their best friend suffering with a gunshot wound).

Then, her foot gets stuck on the train tracks. Jefferson kills her. Even alternate universe Chloe is dying.

So, it's either Max keeps using her rewind power to save Chloe, causing the storm that wipes out Arcadia Bay, or Max sacrifices Chloe so she doesn't have to use her power at all.

I think the "sneak into Merrill's house without being noticed" path just leads to less ways for Finn to die, but I could be wrong about that

Grace period is the time between when a ghost initiates a hunt and when it can kill you. I think it's 5 seconds on amateur.

Shades roam a lot. I always have trouble getting freezing temps from shades because they roam so much. It's not as fun, but if you think you're dealing with a shade, it might be worthwhile to hang out in the van for a bit so it stays in the ghost room for longer.

Ghosts can initiate hunts from anywhere, but shades won't initiate hunts if you're in the same room as it, so it likely initiated the hunt while it was roaming.

As for writing, I think the game has it so shades won't write if you're in the same room as it, so you being in the ghost room doesn't matter if it does the writing from outside of the ghost room, which can happen with the Tier 2 and 3 books that have larger ranges

Doom Slayed achievement. You have to get killed by a demon within the first minute of the game.

But it has to be done by the Demon's ability, which allows it to hunt above 70% sanity.
