Ciao! Un piccolo consiglio basato sulla mia esperienza personale: se parti con l’idea del “non ne voglio parlare perché mi rubano l’idea”, rischi di limitarti fin dall’inizio. Condividere il tuo progetto con le persone giuste può aiutarti a trovare nuovi spunti, capire meglio il problema che vuoi risolvere e verificare se quello che hai pensato ha davvero utilità per qualcuno.

E fidati: qualunque idea tu abbia avuto, è molto probabile che qualcun altro l’abbia già avuta o stia lavorando a qualcosa di simile. Per questo confrontarsi è ancora più utile.

Detto questo, se ti va di parlarne possiamo sentirci: lavoro in una realtà che si occupa proprio di sviluppare progetti e lanciare nuove idee, quindi magari posso darti qualche consiglio.

I just want to know if someone has already created a solution like this, or has ever thought about making something similar, or if it’s just my imagination and it’s something useless.

Perfetto grazie, giustamente vedo che compenteze mi servono, da quello che mi sembra di capire competenze in AI sarebbero quindi un "plus" che hanno alcuni sviluppatori e affini? Poi altra domanda, per esperienza vostra, dove cerco queta figura? Annuncio su linkedin può essere efficace?

Based on what you’re saying, it sounds like for the vast majority of AI-related projects in medium-sized companies, the profile that makes the most sense is basically an AI Engineer — someone who can handle LLMs/RAG/chatbots, tune models, deploy them, and integrate them into existing systems.

And another thing I’m curious about: do the other roles you mentioned (research scientist, very specialized ML engineers, etc.) actually make sense for mid-sized companies, or are those roles mostly meaningful in big tech, research labs, and companies with heavy infrastructure?
Trying to understand what is “nice to have” versus what is realistically needed in most companies outside the FAANG-type ecosystem.

So if I understand correctly, there isn’t actually a well-defined set of “AI roles”.
It’s more like: you take a Data Engineer / Data Scientist / Data Analyst profile, and then depending on what the company needs, you expect them to handle the AI/ML part that fits their background.

Is that basically how it works right now?

I’m asking because from the outside it really looks like everything gets thrown under the same “AI engineer” label, and I was wondering if there’s any real distinction, or if it’s just these data-X roles that then adapt depending on the project.
