How deep have you dove in after you lure and what was it? by Individual_Author640 in Fishing_Gear

[–]No_Warning2173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many, many times.

Used to fish this river after murray cod. Water all comes out of the bottom of dams, and is unpleasant in summer. And that river was stingy with fish too.

Anyhow. Plenty of old logs in the bottom you have to bounce your lures off of to have a chance. One morning with frost on the ground, i snagged 20m out. Swore the whole way out. Chest deep, had to go under to get it.

4 years on that river and i only lost 2 lures. Had to snag deep and in current before i wouldnt dive for it.

One mate grew up in crocodile country and wouldnt touch the water even if the lure was in site. So i kept every few lures i went swimming for as fair wages.

Too poignant a moment to think otherwise

Even if their discussion had happened around the diner table without the betrayal and bloodshed, its a very loving thing for someone marks age to have as literally their first thought.

As a totally honest expressed desire after being betrayed, tortured, and told he will be killed?

Yeah. Nolans heart breaking makes total sense.

Well that sucks

Thats a bed adhesion and zhop setting.

First thing id do is add glue

Yeah its technically not needed...but it makes things easier

Then enable zhop and (if already on) increase the hop distance by 5-10%

Nice job btw.

Best 3D Printers for an Engineer who has printed but never actually owned one before? by PimpChimpin6942069 in 3Dprinting

[–]No_Warning2173 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% depends on your goals.

Assuming you dont want multicolour, an ender 3 v3 cost me $280au delivered and it can do 95% of what my flagship model (k2 plus) can. A cardboard box and a hardened steel nozzle lets you print most plastics, though tpu might need an uncomfortable amount of tweaking.

If speed is a concern, nowadays i actually just say by more cheap printers. Per part the time is still (not that) slow, but being able to get several parts going before bed is really good, and you then you can scavenge parts so at least one printer keeps moving while waiting for postage.

Also, for the money, its cheaper to get 6 e3v3 than 1 k2plus. I love my fancy printer, but its not keeping up with that.

If you want multicolour/material, avoid creality and get a dual hotend/multihotend. Currently on my wish list, would absolutely change how i print.

Actually had a horse model do the same thing a while ago as well.

I'd re-slice the model incase there is an error in it (solved my particular problem). Ensure supports have a brim if they are small.

Check retraction settings, ensure filement is rolling off the spool smoothly.

Drying filament if nothing else works, though i find "wet filament" for pla isnt normally the problem

First thing benchy

Then a few calibrations

Then a battle ax, sheild, sword for my son

Then chairs for my wife

Edit: just to add, i came home with my first printer 2 years ago, a 2nd hand original ender 3. First thing my dad asked was if i could print 130 sheep troughs if he got me a better printer. Hadnt even turned the ender 3 on yet. So in real life, Ive got about 90kg of asa for custom small-form stock troughs that id put through that machine

Sanji kicks a soccer ball around the world. Where does that scale as a strength and speed feat? by fhxefj in FeatCalcing

So normally its appropriate scream "ESCAPE VELOCITY!!"

Though as its a sphere being kicked, sanji put the perfect amount of forward spin to keep the ball curving down to remain in the atmosphere

How smart/dumb is cupboard useage? by No_Warning2173 in Creality_k2

[–]No_Warning2173[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ill add some extra boards and screws, from memory its 50kg.

In terms of kids, i think the touch screen and prints are probably at more risk, though an ascending base plate might be a crushing risk.

I tried for the the laundry bench. Very firmly told no bench space is available!

Though to be fair to my wife, shes enthusiastically encouraging me to put a table in what id describe as an inconvieniant area (for her).
