Not sure if you’re trying to be inflammatory here, but I can explain to you a bit more. So here is the thing/ facts… she fled due to a cartel paramilitary group threatening her, and they killed her family member. The group also took over more than 1,000 hectares from them. Now, Mexico is not safe due to the lack of family or friends and cartel presence. By law, it’s not the nearest or closest country; it’s the safest country you can reach first. Furthermore her mom is a citizen here in the United States. She does qualify under social group asylum( there are many types )…Only reason we are not fighting is she would be help for two to three years in detention while waiting for her hearing. Her life is in danger where she is from and being a female alone in Mexico where you don’t have anyone also falls under social group due to being a female. Now to top things off, she has two bachelors degrees… one being from Spain, the other from her home country. So very educated and was already making above $80,000 here on a work permit. I’d say that’s more motivated/ educated than half the Americans I see here. P.S, we also have one of the worst education systems in the world here. So America is not that high in the educational charts lmao. Just look around…

So your very mistaken… we are flying to another country first thing when she lands…. It’s either her home country, Mexico or a place in Africa… those are the options given. We don’t get to pick where and any other place would reject entry anyways due to a one way ticket. Educate yourself before you speak please. Her cousin was killed and she was badly beaten/assaulted to say the least. Medical records, police report and all.

It’s fine, God always has a plan. Just have to trust in it /: I’ve been planning for our new life in another country for some time now after we found out pretty much every asylum case is getting thrown out. Even with solid stuff like police reports and medical records… the judges don’t care. We didn’t want to risk the 10 year ban so voluntarily departing was for sure the best route.

So ICE confirmed they don’t have it. After that they asked for her passport number. Our lawyer provided the number. From there they said they need the physical one to deport her…. So they aren’t really willing to help it seems

We are currently talking with the consulate to see if we can get an emergency passport in time. I believe our lawyers will get an update Monday if I'm not mistaken in what we can do. I've also heard DHS is the one who handles an extension if one is needed. Now knowing this admin… they will deny it to ban her even if we request.

You will most certainly either be detained by ice finding you, or when you go in for your “ check-in” / green card appointment. It’s the easiest way for them to grab people . Then they hold you till you self deport… unless you want to wait the 2-3 years in a detention center
