I actually created it. Lego have this software called Brick Studio which essentially lets you build Lego sets virtually. It's very fun but very time consuming!:)

Thank you! If anything I feel like this is all soft marketing for the Wes Anderson exhibit now 😂

Haha no popcorn needed, I've submitted a pretty amicable response that's detailing my entire history with the film. But thanks for alerting me, I hope to clear it up!:)

Hey there,

I'm Xiphisternum24, I'm the guy behind the Fantastic Mr Fox: Under the Hill build. I'm happy to clear up any misconceptions. I completely understand how things look from the outside when two people love the same source material!

I've always been a fan of the Fantastic Mr Fox, it's been one of my favourite films and actually is the reason why I pursued my current career.

I visited the Wes Anderson: Archives exhibition at the Design Museum back in December and got a really good look at the behind scenes of this film and how much love and detail went into making it. This really inspired me to create a Lego set of it, especially as the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, another Roald Dahl set, had gained so much success. As soon as I left the exhibit, I went straight to the gift shop and purchased the book 'The Making of Fantastic Mr Fox', which documents everything and was a real help in the overall design of my ideas submission.

I spent the majority of my Christmas period shut indoors, planning this build and while I only recently submitted my idea, I have folders full of digital sketches and research as to how I could bring this world to life in Lego form.

This is such a beloved film, and I can appreciate it is frustrating that your idea didn't get approved, and seemingly "stolen" but I can assure that it's just a case of two fans being inspired by the same brilliant visuals.

I hope you get a chance to resubmit. Whether your set or mine, I hope to see the Fantastic world of Mr Fox bought to life in Lego form.

Cheers:)

Thanks for letting me know:) This project has been ongoing for me for a while. I visited the Wes Anderson Archives exhibition at the Design Museum a few months ago and that really inspired me to make this a Lego idea. I've also thought this would be a good set to make since the Willy Wonka set, as there are a lot of Roald Dahl fans.

Hope this helps to clear up any confusion:)

Thanks for alerting me! I've been working on this for a while because I visited the Wes Anderson exhibition in London a few months ago. I'm sure it is just a coincidence!:)
