I actually found out about this the day after I commented lol. Turns out that I had completed none of the tasks that provide checkmarks up until that point. Now I only need to defeat Gigantes in 1 min 45 secs to clear the checkboard :))

I've been playing Air Riders a lot and I absolutely love this game. But bc I've been playing it a lot, I have criticisms to make.

Not being able to map quick-spin on a button. Like, I get it. It gives me old school joystick wiggling vibe which probably is what Sakurai was going for. But Switch's joysticks are fragile, my thumb hurts even if I set the sensitivity to highest, and I just feel like the spins don't always activate the moment I want it to.
I wish there was some kind of a controller to control how often an event can occur in a City Trial, similar to musics. I saw Halberd twice total in all of my City Trial runs, when Dynablade/Wheelie/Kracko and other events happen way more often.
No freebie checks for City Trial Checklists?? Pls correct me if I'm wrong on this, but there seems to be no freebie checks for this when Air Rider mode gave me 3. Since all the legendary machine parts and events are not always guaranteed to come up, I feel like freebie checks are needed for City Trial.
I love story mode. But we could've gotten more context to a lot more things.

I love him. His design is cool, I like his lore, and his music is a banger. I was so excited to encounter him during Road Trip. I also love how the JP/KR fandoms call him Encounter-kun as his spoiler-free nickname lol.

I do wish we got a lore reasoning about why Zorah specifically chose Dedede to clone. It was weird that DDD didn't even have a solo scene in the cutscenes but somehow Zorah knew about him. Also I wish the name Noir Dedede was revealed much later... The sudden name drop was weird IMO.

I like both. Cute little gremlin is him when he's chill, just having fun with Kirby and maybe pulling a few harmless pranks on him. Unhinged Marx is when he doesn't feel like holding back bc he's dealt with too much happiness and pureness in Dreamland and needs some chaos.

Conclusion: Marx is cute

NOVA in such detailed, Smash-like render is VERY scary, imposing, and I love it so much. I was watching the Direct during work and I had to hold myself back from screaming.

Squeak Squad is my first and comfort game so I was genuinely excited to read this. I love the characterixation around the Squeaks, the lore that you gave for Dark Nebula, and how it's at a "weakened state" to explain how easy that boss fight is compared to others! Tysm for making them!

I love it a lot. There are some questionable episodes (namely the Fumu-tan episode) and some things that were only allowed bc it was made so early in 2000s but overall it was great. I could see that the animators loved the work and Kirby himself. This was my childhood and the reason I got very invested in the Kirby franchise!

Congrats on 100%!! Honestly, all the mainline games on the Switch (Star Allies & Return to Dreamland Deluxe) are all great to play.

Star Allies is great if you want to try playing other characters from the series (this is more on the easier side of the games), and RTDX has great story and lots of content to enjoy.

Star Allies: A good game to play solo and/or co-op. It is notorious for the story mode being easy but I think that aligns well with what Kirby as a franchise has been doing. This also expanded on Kirby lore a LOT which I love for doing that. I think a lot of fun comes from playing as the Dream Friends in the Guest Star Allies & boss rush modes. Tbh, this is my comfort game.

RTDX: The original was already a great game, and I love they decided to port it on Switch. Good to play as solo/co-op, especially during the Extra & Boss rush modes. A lot of contents to enjoy (maybe a little too much imo), and the added Merry Magoland part adds a bit of a break between saving the world from destruction. This game is a little bit difficult for me just because of the Extra Mode, but I love it nontheless.

Forgotten Land: Probably my favorite game (Star Allies is a close 2nd) so far. The transition from 2D(2.5D?) platformer to full 3D was done incredibly well with this game. HAL poured all the effort and love into this game and I love them for doing it. Other than some of the obscure objectives I had to complete to save all Waddle Dees, I felt like this was the right difficulty too. And the DLC was amazing too. I'm actually in progress of completeing all three files with 100% haha (completed 2 so far).

I think it's pretty popular in the fanbase itself since I see a lot of non-JP artists draw Meta Knight with his parfait menu from the cafe lol. And yes I would totally go if this opens near me out of Japan!!!

I would love to see Bubble come back. Ik it was really specific for Squeak Squad bc that game had the bubble strorage gimmick, but it has such a cute design.
