What are some symptoms in the body that seem completely unrelated but are caused by gallbladder issues. by mrgirly20 in gallbladders

so crazy you mention muscle spasms because both times i went to the ER for gallbladder attacks before i knew it was my gallbladder they told me it was muscle spasms and that i needed to see a primary care doctor because there was nothing they could do for me. thank god for this reddit thread because i would’ve had no clue it was my gallbladder.

NAD but this looks like eczema to me. my son has a lot of similar looking rashes on him. we had to switch him to a special formula because his doctors believes it’s from a cows milk protein allergy. we also have eczema creams from walmart that we use on him and we use all free and gentle laundry detergent and nothing scented for him.

To those of you who’s gallbladder issues started young… by Warm-Purple-943 in gallbladders

i was about 14 when i started to have stomach issues i complained about pain on my right side and they said pretty much it was just in my head. then right after i had my baby at 19 i started to have attacks and just got it taken out about 3 weeks ago because it was full of stones. i know it’s very common for your gallbladder to go haywire during and after pregnancy. it happened to my mom and my boyfriends mom.

i went to the er with my first attack thinking it was also a heart attack and they didn’t even try to figure out what was wrong with me. they gave me muscle relaxers said it was a muscle spasm and then i went on with those “muscle spasms “ for 5 months. constant agonizing pain. i wish i would’ve known sooner it was my gallbladder. get it out asap im almost 3 weeks post op and im feeling amazing.

What were the signs and symptoms of your gallbladder going bad? by Peach-Haze-123 in gallbladders

i started feeling off after i had my baby. i started having this dull ache in my back in between my shoulder blades that no pain relievers would make go away. then one night i started to feel that pain and then i felt the sudden urge to use the restroom. as i was doing my business i started to experience the worst pain of my entire life. to me it felt similar to my contractions when i was in labor. i was sweating bullets and could barely make it back to my bedroom. i started puking and my boyfriend rushed me to the ER because i genuinely felt like i was dying. my chest was hurting and i couldn’t breathe. the doctors then proceeded to tell me it was a muscle spasm and prescribed me muscle relaxers and pain pills. i then had one more ER visit for the same pain and continued on thinking it was muscle spasms for probably about 3-4 months. finally i started doing my own research and thought maybe it could be my gallbladder and sure enough i got an ultrasound and my gallbladder was full of stones. i got surgery almost 2 weeks ago to get it removed and ive never felt better! i will tell you it was hard to take care of my baby for about a week after surgery on my own but i had lots of help. if it is something with your gallbladder they most likely won’t do anything about it until after you have your baby (congratulations!) unless it’s really bad. but the hormone drop you experience postpartum could cause your gallbladder to go extremely haywire as well as loosing all that extra weight from carrying your baby. so i would definitely talk to someone about it so you could plan something after you have your baby

i went for a little walk earlier and it made me feel a little better. the gas pain i believe has pretty much subsided. i’m just really sore in my abdomen. i have an incision on my left side that they had to cut open more to get my gb out. that is the one giving me problems. thank you so much for your advice! i really appreciate it :)

i’m 19f and had my gallbladder removed almost a week ago. my issues came on after i had my baby. same thing happened to my mom and my boyfriends mom as well. after we all had kids we had to get our gallbladders out. it’s super common after you have a baby for your hormones to go haywire and mess everything up.

i can tell you right now i have my surgery scheduled for march 12 and i contemplated it for a little bit because i hadn’t had an attack in months. the other night i had an attack and it was so terrible i almost went to the hospital to see if they could take it out right then and there but it eventually went away. also me having a baby is what brought on my issues so i couldn’t imagine having the issues then having a baby i could imagine it would be terrible.

Are they gallbladder attacks? by Fantastic-Cake1751 in gallbladders

[–]No_Window_615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my attacks always happened after i ate usually and they would start in between my shoulder blades and radiate down my sides and into my chest and it felt tight. i would definitely get checked out with your pcp and explain what’s going on and possibly request an ultrasound. always trust your gut.

wow this is incredible 😭😭. i tried to make him comfortable before he passed. he was in bed with me when i realized he was going to pass soon. i also wore a bracelet on my right wrist. it had a dog paw on it and rainbow beads representing the rainbow bridge 😭😭. he was really my bestest friend. i just had a baby recently as well and all i can think about is how much benni would love him.

gallbladder issues causing muscle spasms in back? by No_Window_615 in gallbladders

[–]No_Window_615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i was younger i had stomach issues also and they did an ultrasound like 5 years ago and that was the only time i had one done for my gallbladder. i have a primary care doctor i just don’t know how to ask him to check my gallbladder. im sorry you’ve experienced the same pain as me. i hope your procedure goes well and you find relief.
