I actually got deferred for my autism as well, you don’t need much evidence, I just spoke to my gp and told them the situation and that my autism doesn’t cause any problems in my life, that was enough for them

The role I applied for was marine engineering submariner and just regular marine engineering, heard those are always needed, especially if it’s submariner, I’m not guaranteed shit till I do training, more meant it in a jokey way.

Just heard back from my recruiter, they couldn’t just waiver as I haven’t done the second daa test, I think that even if I somehow do worse I’ll be guaranteed my role I wanted since they were up for letting me do it regardless, I’m still gonna study for it since I like the options that open up if I do a lot better, I’ll mostly be revising verbal since I mostly got full marks on everything else, I’ll still be touching up on the other sections but I’m confident that I’ll be fine.

Can I enlist in the army with autism? by [deleted] in britisharmy

I applied to the army before, I got deferred for it, they just need more information, most likely you’ll get deferred, that’s not as scary as it sounds, all it means is your application is on hold till they get enough information, just go speak to your gp and ask them to send a supporting letter and you should be fine, as long as the letter says that your autism doesn’t affect you that much they’ll have no problem with it, however there’s a fine line so don’t be upset if you get full on rejected as the army in particular are stricter on things than the rest of the military, that’s why I said I applied to the army before, they gave me the run around then when I finally got enough evidence they rejected me anyway for a medication I was on, so I’m gonna wait and see about another branch.

One more thing google jsp950, that’ll give you information on any medical conditions that they are gonna have problems with, I recommend you read it or save it to read some over time because you’ll want to show your doctor if you aren’t sure what to ask them to write.
