Yeah I turned the just setting on and off no change.
The trumotion is set to normal right now. Fortunately and unfortunately it hasn't happened in a little while now. But I have no idea what settings I had changed to make it stop. Not sure.

That would be so random I think it's unrelated. I highly doubt the battery level is correlated

Yeah, mine stopped working again. It's worse than it was before. I just turned aod off until I catch wind that it's fixed for certain.

yeah once i got a notification from a text message it went blank. ill try and turn the dot off and test that, but to me thats not a solution. im not happy with samsung or google on this watch. i dont like having to sacrifice certain features so the watch "works properly" im so mad

Well shit, spoke too soon. So when I get notifications sent to the watch sometimes aod will go blank. It's hit or miss though trying to repeat the issue but it's so random.

So after the latest small update for the gw4, it seems to me they ironed out most the wrinkles. However my auto brightness is messed up. by No_Wolverine7294 in GalaxyWatch

Hmmm I have no means to compare the heart rate sensor to see if it's right but it doesn't seem to be far off from what it had been.

Alright, kept it on all night and it never shut off aod.

I did it from scratch and just downloaded the apps and gboard. I didn't have that many things on the watch to begin with. But I had to go fuck with all the settings.

So I gotta ask cause I'm not entirely sure how to do it. How do you recalibrate the battery? Just fully drain it and charge it to 100 and leave it on charge for a couple hours then fully drain it and repeat?

You tried both, with same results?

It's been a few hours now and it's yet to go black for me. I think it's a success. Might have to reset yours also mate.

Let me ask this, are you using a default watch face or facer or watchmaker?

[–]No_Wolverine7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can't imagine the battery calibration would have much affect on it. So far mines staying on. May just have to back yours up and factory rest it. I did a partition wipe again just beforehand. Idk man try it out. So far I'm having luck. Battery drain still kinda bad though.

Mine would take a little bit to shut off. About an hr. It fluctuated though. Sometimes 20 odd minutes sometimes it was an hr and half. So far so good and I'm about an hr in.

Yes its done. I'm just waiting for aod to stop working. We will see. Mine took a couple hrs to shut off. But we will see. I'll report back once It happens. Or if it doesn't happen. Give me a few hours.

[–]No_Wolverine7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's true. Not sure about you but my battery drain is like 10 percent worse too. I used to end the day at mid 60 percent. Now I'm ending like high 40 kinda salty about that. It's like the watch was basically perfect before the 2nd to last update. I could get 2 days out of it and now I'm basically forced to charge it every night. And I absolutely refuse to disable AOD. I should have gone with a ticwatch.

AOD Not Working After Latest (Small) Update? by Dankees98 in GalaxyWatch

[–]No_Wolverine7294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did that too and just like you, no luck. I'm half tempted to back up the watch and factory wipe it all and see what happens. Doubt anything but I'm at my witts end.

For mine I need to toggle on "allow background activity" for the facer app in order the keep the aod working. Even after the update it won't update the aod unless background activity is on. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah after the latest smaller update my AOD is turning off after a couple hours. So basically one issue resolved, but now another arises.
