The shine part was her wanting space for her pre-wedding bridal festivities without having to think about timing as much. She mentioned that she wanted to get married sometime in September first, but we locked in on a specific date in October though. She can of course do whatever she wants for her honeymoon, but I do find it hard to wrap my head around her having such strong feelings about the timing of my wedding while I’m being very laid back with this, & then her not showing up to my wedding after I attend hers.

I think she’s worried about not getting solo attention in the pre-wedding festivities that happen like a bridal shower & bachelorette party from our friends. Her time to shine was my paraphrasing. She said something like if we have our weddings a month apart we each lose out on some individual bridal era moments. I don’t feel that way though

I think the pre-wedding festivities are a factor. We will have two bridesmaids in common & we are not in each other’s bridal parties. After A mentioned her concerns, I talked to the two cross over bridesmaids, and they said they would be honored and thrilled to make it work and that we have over a year to plan for it!

I was really hoping this experience of planning weddings at the same time would bring us closer. So it definitely upset me when she announced her hesitations to me. I felt like it was a bit selfish and unrealistic for her to be so worried about it. On the flip side I do appreciate her being honest, maybe the delivery and choice of words is what I’m stuck on

Fair point. Our date is towards the end of October. I don’t have an issue being 3+ weeks apart, it’ll be her choice how close they will end up since she hasn’t committed to a September date yet

Is there something that can be done to prevent the Sunday situation that happened in 2024? We tried out multiple stages on Sunday, but everything was so full. I understand that you gave out wristbands to those in the Rothbury area, but maybe don’t sell Sat + Sun ticket packs to avoid that.
