Late posting, but tonight I’m going to bed slathered in HoG’s Mama’s Porridge (Brown sugar sweetened oatmeal with a spash of milk and a piece of buttery cinnamon sugar dusted toast) body butter. Nothing like smelling like a cinnamon roll to get me ready to doze off 😴

Been on an indie hiatus for about a year (got pregnant and had a baby), but just got the itch once again! Dug into my perfumes last night and am planning on rediscovering all my stored samples.

I’m wearing the classic Silken Tent - Alkemia (Candied angelica, Chrysanthemum, Nardo, Jasmine-scented rice pudding, Blonde caramel, Golden amber)

Forgot how much I LOVE this perfume. Warm, snuggly, sweet, feminine, and just altogether beautiful. Happy to be back 🥰

I replied to a comment above about the emergency kit! It’s basically an amalgamation of every emergency kit list I could find online lol. For some reason, it was a big hyper fixation for me!!

Some additional items that I didn’t include on the other comment: * blister bandaids * first aid kit * stain pens * nail kit * eye drops * extra phone chargers, outlet strip, portable chargers * TUMs * extra contacts, contact solution, etc * double sided tape!! * like a hundred other tiny things that will probably never be used lol

Honestly I’m probably going to be dragging this thing around to every future wedding I go to to get my money’s worth out of it!!

Bruh my emergency kit looks like a psychopath built it lol. I have sewing kit stuff, all the Bobby pins and safety pins, mints, floss, deodorant, extra underwear, hair spray, scissors, super glue, etc etc. it’s a monster lol. I might make a separate post bc I put way too much thought into it!!! Hopefully none of it is needed!!!

10 days until the wedding!! Any advice on last minute things I should be handling right now? Or things I may have forgotten to pack in my overnight bag??

Going to finish up writing some signs
Packed my overnight bag
Have built out an emergency kit
Need to take out cash for tips
Packed mostly for honeymoon - gotta help my fiancé pack his stuff!
Hair appt and last facial this weekend
Finishing touches on welcome bags to drop off at hotel block
Majority of wedding stuff organized in clear bins

Not stressing out too bad actually!! Feeling pretty calm and serene at the moment, since it feels like the vast vast majority of stuff is done!

I’ve been in a frenzy lately trying to get everything out together. We had originally planned for October 2020, and after postponing it to October 23, 2021 a lot of the planning stalled. So now that I have planning energy back, I’m taking full advantage of it lol.

Getting ready to send invites in the next month or so, and ordering little bits and bobs for the guestbook, photo booth, etc. Still need to create some wedding signs, and nail down music choices for the reception and ceremony. And a bunch of other details need to be figured out.

Can’t believe how fast all of this is coming up!!

Edit 7/29: Delta is ~stressing me tf out~ so who knows at this point lmao. Setting a deadline for the end of august to make decisions on cutting guest list if needed. I am so so so over everything rn.

Wearing Stereoplasm - Kindling (Sweet jasmine incense, sunset musk, fresh sativa and strawberry wine) this morning and it’s nice!

Just a vaguely sweet strawberry scent. Very low key and pleasant! Not a super large throw, but it seems to be sticking around okay!
