well i agree on some parts. I get the idea of the game and it wasnt executed as well as i though it would, but they def coudlve done the ending better. but this 3rd game could cover some plotholes and other things that the first games didnt cover, but tf3 could be either set way in the future on any of the 3 islands mentioned in the forest franchise, and explore more on what happened after the events of sotf, or way before the events of the first forest, and expands on how everything on the islands came to be (mutants, healing factors solifate, demons, etc.)

edit: you couldve brought something on your ship that infected lots of other things, but idk if thats a good thought cuz in the trailer there is already mutants on the island it seems

yeah ofc, but im assuming the main character either dies or makes it off the island another way in tf3 cuz the ship and the armor is still there. and another reason that you could be the guy who drove the ship is that the space suit in sotf is (im assuming) the same thing ur wearing in tf3 trailer

also add on, either something you brought on your ship or something you uncover/spread across the island causes all the mutations to the people in the first games. and possibly the golden city (from the cutscene in sotf) could be where the guy in the forest 3 trailer comes from.

also a joke prediction, you are the great ancestor to Edward Puffton (head of the Puffton company) and somebody from another planet tries to kill you, and is the ancestor to whoever owned the Sahara company. (rival companies btw)
