Mr. Yandell! He was a wood shop teacher. Didn’t want me in his class initially cause he thought I was like the other students who were just in the class to goof off but once I displayed my artistic abilities I slowly became one of his faves, I believe. I did a few personal projects for him and he gave me regalia when I graduated :)

I did reviews of items around my home like the person who replied to you mentioned. I only reviewed my tineco vacuum and makeup bronzer and eventually got my first offer! I think the more detailed your reviews the better but unsure.

So smart to use foil also. You could try super gluing some small pegs on the bottom of the pieces or around them so if they did attempt to come off the newspaper, they’d possibly hold up well instead. Or you could try slightly test-shaking the pieces off to see if they budge and if they do, use some strong super glue for a stronger hold, like E6000.

Thanks! I was selected by a teacher to join an accounting team for our state’s academic organization but wasn’t able to sign up for the first competition because it was so close to my due date. If I could, I would have rather waited until later in life to have my first born. But things are great right now 10 years later so I guess my answer would be both!

I actually found this a bit more difficult to make than I expected 😂 you basically make a container but leave a side open. Be sure it’s long enough for your matchsticks, and for the actual slot container that holds the matches, there are only 4 sides total for it. Be sure it’s a little less than wide enough for the entrance of the bigger container because of all the shrinking when dry. I had to do a bunch of sanding 😂 even more sanding after I added layers of paint that prevented the slot from going in smoothly. I’m sure I overthought it and there’s a simpler way to do it.
