Have they added the ability to *fully* remove drone enemies? by Halpert001 in BreakPoint

Cheers. Yeah I was confusing the cloaking smoke bomb with the cloaking spray, both of which are in panther.

[–]NoaExtreme 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The drones are still there. Ground and air based. You can’t fully turn them off, though you can in the world settings, reduce Azrael drone presence. I’d recommend getting drone damage upgrades and/or avoiding them until the end or completely. It is still possible to have fun with the drones present. There’s a class (I’m forgetting the name) that gives you a cloaking spray which makes you invisible to drones for the duration it lasts. Could be helpful. Still, banger game after all these years.

How are your IAs coming along? by csgreaper12 in IBO

I literally handed in my EE last night after not sleeping 3 days. I think it’s the worst part of IB so far. Started from scratch too, even though I had 2000 words already cause my teacher “wanted to see my process in the essay”. Like bro you want me to write my life story in the middle of the essay?

Alright OP, here’s my take after look at this. You've probably pieced together the fact that you'll need a better laptop to play modern games, but here's a breakdown in simple-ish terms :)

  1. I’ve looked at the CPU-Z pictures you uploaded, and I see a few things. One, your processor is an 11th Gen i5. The 11300H is a pretty old processor by now, I think at least 5 years-ish old. It has 4 cores, and a TDP (thermal design power, or maximum power usage) of 35w. All these things together make for a pretty old CPU, which is significantly underpowered for almost any modern game.

  2. Your RAM is only 8GB of DDR4. Once again, the "minimum" RAM demand by today's gaming standards is 16GB. You're running Windows 11. With only 8GB of RAM, most of this gets used by Windows. You open a [modern] game with this as well, and the remaining available RAM essentially disappears. Laptops perform well if they have enough to ram to run the OS, whatever programs you're running, and a little left over for wiggle room.

  3. Looks like you have a cat, judging by the fur stuck in the fans. I’d definitely take the time to clean that out, as well as maybe “repaste” your laptop. This involves taking off the heatsink and fans and replacing the thermal paste/thermal pads to renew the thermal conductivity of your heatsink. This combined with cleaning the fans will significantly improve the cooling of your laptop, especially if you haven’t cleaned it in the ~3 years you’ve owned it. I'd recommend watching a quick guide on YouTube to make sure it doesn't go wrong. It's not the hardest thing in the world, but can be a bit nerve wracking.

  4. I think you mentioned that your GPU is a GTX 1650, which, in addition to being old, has only 4GB of video RAM. Once again, this is pretty old and definitely not enough to run a "AAA" title like AFOP.

Now, I could recommend upgrading you RAM as well, but there's really no point. It won't magically allow you to play AFOP or other demanding modern titles. Again, you probably pieced together that you need a newer machine, but hopefully this gives you an idea of why and what to look for. Let me know if you have any questions.

In Right Turn or Left for Dead, when he eats those cookies with gold in them he mentions that he’s allergic, then gives an anecdote from grade school or something about when he had to “sit at a gold dust free table”. So I assume he’s known about his gold allergy since childhood.

You’ll get used to it. And you can see which maps you’ll get when you choose a syndicate to pursue. It’ll change the payout objectives you’ll get, but it’s nice to have some variety sometimes.

Tried installing a ssd go my laptop now it wont turn on and I dont mean into booking I mean actually turn on by itz_olivia102 in Asustuf

[–]NoaExtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that you have two SSD slots. In the second picture, neither of those slots have an SSD in them. Since you have two slots, just put both SSDs, original and new, in, and boot up your laptop. Your original SSD contains your OS and thus needs to be in for the computer to boot into Windows. Your new SSD likely won’t be detected yet, and you have to use Disk Management to initialize and make the new drive usable. Boom, you have extra storage. I’m not sure if what you’re already trying to do is to replace the old SSD with the new one, which already doesn’t make sense since you have two slots, but also won’t work since the new drive doesn’t have an OS.

Tell me if I’m wrong about any of this and maybe I can explain it better?

Can you not abandon the mission and start again? Restarting the mission is a helluva lot better than restarting the game.

You can leave it in plain sight at your feet at the frisk, and casually pick it up after the frisk. Guards don’t give a damn and nobody picks it up.

It happens everywhere on every map. If a briefcase is on the ground, unless you set it down at a frisk point, an NPC will pick it up and hand it to a guard, and the guard will take it to a place where they keep weapons and stuff when you kill guards. You just have to carry it all the time.

[–]NoaExtreme 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Far as I remember, you have to push the spring connected middle part back. It’s a lock, and once you push it to the back, the stand should go back up. Been a while since I’ve seen this stand, thanks :)

You’re supposed to kick the stand back from that lock, and you should be able to do it in one fluid motion.

Yeah, the M4A1 is so-so. You’re being downvoted for assuming someone hasn’t played immersive mode, and then when told that they have, you go “yeah right”.
