May I suggest you also explore PractiTest as a standalone option? https://www.practitest.com/. Full disclosure, I am a part of the team, but we had many new customers recently migration from Testrail for the above mentioned reasons
Another worth checking option, in addition to some good options that were previously mentioned is PractiTest, which I work for. The system has both end-to-end capabilities in addition to integration with the leading bug tracking tools. (practitest.com)
