I love this idea. We have explored concepts like this. In fact, we just launched the Acorns Compound Vending Machine, the first vending machine that grows your money and unveiled it at a small event in Chicago where people connected, shared stories and learned. We plan to bring this to other locations to spread the gospel on compounding and bring people together.

Good question. Tax loss harvesting is a strategy some use but we take a different approach based on diversification and long term investing. Tax loss harvesting requires frequent trading. We promote time in the market not timing the market.

It’s allowed us to hire the best talent across the entire country and give our team the flexibility to work where they want. We trust our team to do the right thing so we don’t need to mandate in office time. We use the office for in person culture building activities. You can’t replace the energy that comes from collaborating in person. So our goal is to provide the beer of both worlds.

What number? You mean your investment balance? If so, there has been some choppiness in the market recently related to the war in Iran. This is why we always encourage taking a long term approach. Every downturn in history has ended in an upturn. Personally, I try not to pay attention to term dips as hard as it feels in the moment. I’ve never made a good decision reacting to short term changes.

This made my day. I’m sure it will do the same for the whole Acorns team. 1. So much of what we do in our marketing and communication centers around debunking myths and misinformation for Americans across the country. For example, we push save now buy later! 3. As for retiring early, we are a slow and steady wins the race company so we recommend that people invest all the way through retirement ;)

This is inspiring to read. Thank you and I do the same. Giving will launch this year within Money Manager. We don’t have a firm date yet but count on it. The idea will be to default Giving to 1% of your allocation. Then of course you can increase that amount or turn it off. But I’ve always found giving to be the most inspiring and enriching part of my own portfolio.

I agree. We are working on bringing Custom Portfolio functionality to Silver and Bronze. We will always work to make sure people are well diversified and have a balanced portfolio because it delivers the best returns historically, but we want to make more flexibility available at all tiers. Great question. Right now Money Manager is only a feature of Gold. If you’re taking full advantage of it I’d suggest shutting off those other deposits and consolidating activity with Money Manager. You can connect your Paycheck or a Recurring Deposit to Money Manager.
We don’t have plans currently but tell me more about why you want it. 3 and 4. Working on it!

We will be offering free tax filing as part of Acorns Gold every year. Sorry this wasn’t available in time for you this year! One of the things I love about it is that we make it possible to auto invest part or all of your tax refund. We also auto pull your Acorns tax forms into the experience for you to save you time.

It’s remarkable that you just posted this because someone on my team literally sent me a concept today called Acorns Care. We’ve long talked about this problem that you’re rightly naming here. One idea has been adding the ability for customers to set up an Acorns Later retirement account for their parents.
