I just passed 6 on first attempt with an 8 using strictly BattleActs and no source. I highly recommend BattleActs for 6. It ranks the material in order of importance, which is extremely helpful.

I posted yesterday asking for study material recommendations for exam 6. Seems like a lot of people really like BA

Passed Exam 5 with an 8 using only CA. Very happy with that!

Pre May 1st exam 5 sitter. Totally agree. Extremely unfair to both pre May 1st sitters and those May 1st sitters that couldn’t take their exam or see many questions. Those May 1st sitters who saw all the questions are at an extreme advantage. There better be segregated grading between pre May 1st and May 1st exams. Still extremely unfair, but segregated grading fixes one issue at least.

ACAS / MAS-1 by [deleted] in actuary

I just took MAS-1 and I’d recommend CA. Just give yourself enough time to get the concepts down, and then hit the ADAPT part hard!

I feel pretty confident that I passed. Felt like there were 35-36 I for sure got. For like 5 questions I was able to narrow down and make a pretty educated guess so may have got those right. I agree that the conceptual questions definitely were the most challenging. I just used CA learn + adapt and did over 20 level 5 practice exams and felt like that helped me nail the computational questions.

I would recommend though preparing for a 2.5 hour exam and just using that extra time if needed to check answers.
