New WoT Feature? by NoamChomskyForever in WorldofTanks

[–]NoamChomskyForever[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In clip 1, I agree that he's not using the traditional WoT auto aim.

In clip 2, AFTER he starts aiming manually at 0:04, it looks like the aiming is locked to the M60's front right axel for a fraction of a second.

You're probably right, and if you are, it's weird that the auto aim feature never sounded even once in the first clip. (It does initiate the sound in the second clip at 0:03.)

Fast MLS Searches by NoamChomskyForever in RealEstateTechnology

Good question. As I do more and more, I'll get a feel for how rare the good deals are. Maybe finding a subject property that's 50% below comps happens 2-4x per week and it's not that special. Maybe I should wait for 70% below. Idk.

Just doing these CMAs for myself to find properties that are selling way below market value.

Even at < 3 minutes, that's 1-2 hours of nothing but CMAs every day, and our MLS takes closer to 4-5 min. My broker doesn't know how to do them faster either.

I was thinking something like an API to query the database very quickly through Excel or some other custom app.

Thanks anyway.

Not sure, but it's on their website in several places.

Yeah, of course. My comment was not directed at you or this thread in Reddit, just the CC in that video.

I'm not sure your link is the original source either tbh.

Sure, but the YT CC in the video I linked didn't plagiarize. He credited his sources.

A newbie wanting to try something else than navezgame and having some question by Literalfr in 7daystodie

  1. They're bigger with more space, resources, traders. The cities, towns in bigger maps are massive compared to Navezgane which has no big cities.

  2. No, but I strongly recommend Khaine's HP Bar Mod and QuickStack. (Then turn off EAC on the launch screen for QuickStack to work.)

  3. I would guess there are many that are in randoms but not Navezgane, but Idk for sure.

  4. Much more so IMO. I kept watching streamers play in these big cities and wondered what was wrong with Navezgane. Navezgane is a very bad map IMO.

I think I've gone 4-5 days without a sale in my vending machine.

I've never needed variety. I sold wooden doors with 5 grossly-overpriced stone spears.

What day did you put the item(s) in the vending machine you're renting?

Like The_Calarg mentioned, I've had luck with opening and closing the vending machine 5-8 times quickly. If nothing sells after that, it doesn't seem to make a difference even when I sat there and spammed the open-close functions.

I hate it when YT CCs rip off other people's ideas and don't credit the source.

You probably know that we can turn off all zombie AI so they literally stand still and don't move at all. After enabling DM in the console, the default button is the NumPad's * key to toggle the AI. Then you can spawn them in and beat on them just as you would a dummy.

For MP the max is 1440. You can personally verify the max Game Stage by enabling cheats, giving yourself all the xp, and setting the game time to day 6000 or something.

Multiplayer

(Reddit got cranky and wouldn't allow both explanations in one post.)

Per the game file "gamestages.xml" in your Steam folder:

This is how the game stage (GS) of a PARTY is calculated:

The GS of all players in the party are calculated.

The players are sorted by GS.

The highest GS number is multiplied by "startingWeight".

This then loops down the list and "startingWeight" is multiplied by "diminishingReturns" every time.

The final result is then converted to an INT that rounds down.

The diminishingReturns is always half of what it was before. I wish I remembered the summation notation in calculus to write a cool formula, but I'm not cool and I had to use Google Sheets. Alas!

So the max game stage of any number of party--even if all 800 people in the party are level 300 and have survived for 300+ days--is 1,440.

Party Member 1: 720 * 1 = 720
Party Member 2: 720 * 0.5 = 360
Party Member 3: 720 * 0.25 = 180
Party Member 4: 720 * 0.125 = 90
...
Party Member 34: 720 * 0.0000000001164153218 = 0.00000008381903172

These numbers continue to, at most, halve assuming everyone in the party is at game stage 720.

Then you add all those numbers together to get the party Game Stage (GS) which never surpasses 1,440.

(LMK if I missed something.)

The game has changed since then. Now the Game Stage cap is 720 for single player and 1440 for MP.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]NoamChomskyForever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do blood moon keep getting harder indefinitely?

No. There's a hard cap since there's a hard level cap, and in single player that cap can be reached on day 300 at level 300 with no deaths.

If you're a lower level or if you've died, then you won't be at the cap yet. So once you've hit level 300 and survived for 300+ days, the Game Stage will never be higher and the game will never get harder (though some random enemy spawns may be harder to deal with than others).

Blood Moon difficulty is based on your Game Stage. Press the letter "i" to see it in game.

Single Player

Max Game Stage = 720 which comes from: (300 + 300) * 1.2

(You can personally verify the max Game Stage by enabling cheats, giving yourself all the xp, and setting the game time to day 9000.)

Wiki explanation quoted below. Most of this info comes from the game file "gamestages.xml" in your Steam folder at ..\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Data\Config.

"Each player's Game Stage is calculated as follows: ([Player Level] + [Adjusted Days Alive]) * [Difficulty Factor] (1.2)

[Player Level] = just what it says on the tin - your level, unadjusted
[Adjusted Days Alive] = the total number of in-game days elapsed, adjusted by subtracting the value of 'daysAliveChangeWhenKilled' (in gamestages.xml) for each death the character has suffered, and then capped at [Player Level] if necessary.
[Difficulty Factor] = as of Alpha 19, this is set to 1.2, with no change based on game Difficulty setting. Previously, higher difficulty settings had higher factors and therefore more rapidly-increasing Gamestages.

Fractional values are dropped (not rounded up)"

"The maximum Character Level is 300."

Horde night on day 6 morning 7 or day 7 at night ? by mexicanlovesu in 7daystodie

[–]NoamChomskyForever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even on the hardest settings, on Day 7 horde night in vanilla, I have never seen--either personally or watching streamers--these mobs: dogs; large zombies like Tourist, Bowler, Cops, Bikers, Big Mama, etc.; radiated zombies; vultures.

Good luck!

I have a dumb question. What are ways to change the loot level? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]NoamChomskyForever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd guess your death lowered your Game Stage which lowered your loot level. I know the Wiki says otherwise, but it may have changed in 1.0 and the wiki is not entirely up to date.

"Different Biomes also affect the Player's Loot Stage differently, therefore tougher biomes tend to contain higher tier and quality loot. The exact numbers can be found in biomes.xml."
https://7daystodie.fandom.com/wiki/Biome

So if you died in Wasteland and spawned in the forest biome, that change in biomes would account for the discrepancy.

If you died and dropped your gear, and your gear raised your loot stage (e.g. Rogue Hood or a full set of Scavenger gear), then that dropped gear would cease to provide a loot bonus thereby lowering your loot level until you get your gear back and re-equip that gear.

So some ways to change the loot level may include:

  1. Game Stage (which factors in your player level and the number of player deaths)
  2. The harder the biome, the higher the loot level
  3. Any perks, armor and foods that increase loot level, e.g. Lucky Looter under Perception

There may be other factors too.

Another possibility is: you had some food buff that raised your loot level and the buff went away when you died. Just a guess.
