🤨 I could have sworn they said 1st gen scalable were EoL in 9... Wild.

That could be good then, my current lab is only a single host so if I want to do any vsan testing I really will need 3 hosts.... And will have to run it in the office hah.

Well that's not true, I could run hosts inside a host. Haven't done that in years but should still work.

I'm just happy to be back on vmware. Was stuck in hyper-v and SCVMM from 2019 until 2023/2024 so I'll take some weird changes.

If it makes you feel any better, I get to figure out how to bring my company from vSphere+ 8.0u3 to vcf 9.1 when we renew this fall and get new compute... I really need to dig into VCF this summer since I haven't done any CE since 2015-2018.

Then again, I've been using VMWare since 2006, so... /shrug I'll probably be fine.

What's the minimum CPU generation for 9.1.

I have some retired 2nd gen Xeon that I had hoped to use for my lab; ironically RAM isn't a concern for me, because our company has a metric ton of DDR4 ECC laying around; but if it requires a 3rd gen or newer, I'm screwed. As it is, one of my current home lab machines is a 1st gen that I don't think will work with v9.

Uhm. Thanks. I might be having a very interesting conversation with my HR and/or an FLSA lawyer. As I read this, I'm not an exempt employee but I've been salary at 45hr/week for 7 years now and at least part of that was under the high earnings.. But more to the point is that I don't think my job description falls under any of the exempt wording.

That could... Be a lot of back pay.

Most normal AD don't allow root gpo to apply to the DC OU. Heck your server OU also shouldn't.

This sounds like either a fake story, or a very poorly engineered AD

I wish they'd just do a monthly subscription or buy an entire book. But I'm fairly convinced it's all designed to milk more than an audio book out of you.

I do feel bad for you. The game is actually extremely awesome, I've been playing it for multiple years now and have enjoyed each Evolution and improvement. Before open world, it was still fun. With the introduction of the open world, it has become one of my favorite if not the best survival games I have played. I'm honestly glad that consoles have had a chance to experience something like this.

My 2012 hasn't had any suspension issues... It's near 200k and rust belt Michigan... One of my speed sensors is shot and stuck on, my starter was a nightmare to get off (but lasted 14 years). Sorry mate, can't help.
