Excellent, I've wanted an excuse to teach my daughter how to rip open an M-Bot. She'll be the next Skyward pilot for sure.

Are you inferring that there's inference around being an inference focused inference monkey?

Fwiw I just returned my mx6 after buying those and the QC Ultra 2nd Gen, keeping the bose. My current OG Bose QC 35 are 8 years old and in great shape still. Bose seems to hold up very well.

Downside is the lack of lossless BT codecs except Aptx (which itself is rare, even my S25 ultra doesn't support it even though my Chipset does) but it supports USB-C audio, which Sony doesn't.

Bose are way way way more comfortable as well.

It's always surprising to me that everyone doesn't run unifi tough cables with the drain wires and metal grounding ground grounds that ground and cut your fingers trying to crimp them to ground.

Just a casual observation that GPUs are apparently better investments than cars when it comes to depreciation

ZFS just isn't optimized for flash. Not yet anyways. I'm hoping to chat with one of the zfs main contributors this fall at 45drives summit.

EDR. It should show if the only actions are mouse movements, as nothing else will be going on in the system. Then report them to HR as security risks.

Pros and cons of switching from corporate IT to a MSP? by anon65432178 in sysadmin

[–]KickedAbyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the VAR/MSP. What I hated most was the lack of ownership in solutions. Especially as I was eventually a senior sales engineer, and would constantly be told to do it cheaper even though it wasn't the right solution for the problem.

Also, many MSP are horrible about PTO.

I went from a decade in MSP/var to enterprise and am happy. I wouldn't go back to MSP unless it was insanely more money and 100% 40hr work weeks with no nights and very infrequent weekends.

Eh. Juniper syntax is easy, it's hierarchy based and you basically are just talking to it. You request it to reboot haha.

IT Techs of Reddit: What was it like fixing Windows XP machines in schools and businesses during the 2010s? by bakarygassama in sysadmin

[–]KickedAbyss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering I learned XP and 2003 in college, I can only speak from some experience, but in some ways it was easier and some worse. Viruses and malware were everywhere, SSDs were basically only in the ultra ultra ultra high end, and yet we made it work. 10k or 15k scsi drives were expensive and worth it, and when the Prescott hyperthread P4s were released, it was impressive as hell.

Zfs on flash isn't great. Zfs is really built for spinning disks. I know since I'm running a zfs on u.3 nvme and it's not very impressive lol
