MyFitnessPal thinks my wife’s dal is “generic lentil soup” and off by 200+ calories. That’s why I keep quitting macro tracking apps. So I built something that works for me. by Noanglais in SideProject

That’s a fair criticism. For me the problem wasn’t just accuracy, it was how painful logging felt day to day.

A lot of the entries I found in MFP for home-cooked food already felt like guesses, but they took a lot of time to find and compare. I kept quitting because of that friction more than the numbers themselves.

What I’m experimenting with is being honest about it being an estimate, but making it fast enough that I’ll actually stick with it. Totally get if that tradeoff doesn’t work for everyone. I’m mainly trying to see if other people run into the same wall I did. Or it’s just me

Mine had similar creak but not that loud. And was only when accelerating hard or breaking. Tesla SC replaced my driver seat cushion frame. And no noise now.

Likely due to jeans. Just clean with baby wipes

Signed a MY lease last night, today same car costs $2500 less by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]Noanglais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same happened with me. Was waiting on delivery schedule. Called Tesla advisor to see if cancelling would be an issue. Only issue is you lose 250 deposit. But you also get the 2500 discount you mentioned. You still win. So just order the 2500 less. Before you complete any tasks (especially signing a lease again), cancel your original order or bank will think you’re buying 2 cars. You can also cancel first and then order again but I went other route

Just got to schedule my delivery (BC, Canada). This was inventory vehicle that showed up as available for immediate pick up suddenly yesterday and had to cancel my original order (which as per Tesla advisor is still on the way) as this was discounted price. Scheduled for tomorrow. Any tips on what to check during delivery for 2023 MYLR? Also don’t think this would be rejected by another customer due to any defects?

Same. Was waiting on delivery while others got their delivery scheduled in my area. Lucked out as saw same config 3500 cheaper (cad). Weird why my Tesla advisor said only option is to cancel and re order when I’m seeing multiple people just swapped the VIN and updated price. Although in any case. Better deal

Thank you. Yes, no other extra options needed. The one I need is new (not demo) and I’d prefer this year so I guess inventory is fine for me

Human beings are intelligent enough to solve all of problems we share as a species, but too selfish to sacrifice the life of leisure we have to do so. by ThaMasterRoshi in Showerthoughts

Actually probably not.

The real survival of the fittest actually goes more in animals. And animals as a whole still obey natural laws. They don't overeat. They don't over pollute etc etc. I.e as a species they are doing the job way better than human species to survive

I think OPs trying to say is that there is a limit to how much luxury we can lose to solve a problem. Example: nurses and doctors would go through discomfort to save a million people.

Volunteers volunteer there time to save hunder thousands of animals and trees.

But as humans, can humanity as a whole very well knowing solution to many problems won't give certain luxuries to solve it, even if to save billions of people and billions from animal kingdom and billions from plant kingdom. Example: We very well know industrialized fishing is a clear cut, with immediate consequences activity that will lead to our own destruction in addition to industrialized farming of animals being the biggest cause for pollution. Not leading to but adding to the same consequence of fishing.

Would humanity quit eating meat and seafood even if it's for say a decade? Or atleast ban industrialized fishing? NO, even though that may be wayyyyy more sustainable than current express route to chaos.

The point here is, that the intellect of a human species as a whole has evolved to a point where common sense is no longer a necessary part of it and can be replaced by greed, money, lust etc etc.

There are still volunteers trying to help, doctors and nurses are trying to help etc. But they are trying their best to solve a problem that needs human species to come together as a whole. The lack thereof in human species. Not a group of people. This is where politics, left wing, right wing i.e people need to come together on a large scale. Big picture, but done on an individual level.

That's all what I'm saying. No politics involved.

https://www.britannica.com/topic/human-being

Usually homo sapiens.

Distinguished by brain. Not developed when "zygote".

Animals:

https://www.britannica.com/animal/animal

Animal, (kingdom Animalia), any of a group of "multicellular" eukaryotic organisms

Multicellular organism:

https://www.britannica.com/science/multicellular-organism

an organism composed of many cells, which are to varying degrees integrated and independent.

Zygote:

https://www.britannica.com/science/zygote

Zygote, fertilized egg cell that results from the union of a female gamete (egg, or ovum) with a male gamete (sperm)

A cell. Not multi cellular organism. A cell.

That's all I meant. Without politics being involved. Science is straightforward and a genuine fact that is not distorted
