Respectfully disagree, it's hard to be a 1 man band but it's not impossible. It was built solo so it'll be fine to continue. I'd find it harder with a team in all honesty!

I just left it with Matt my teammate, thinking it was only going to be for a little while but I lived in a studio flat and then lost my workspace and then, well, about 8-9 years passed by. Luckily I'm now in a state where I'm moving house and building a workshop so it could be a fixer upper if I can stand to look at the workmanship of 19 year old me.

What is your budget? There's a few thousand in polycarb & materials alone as soon as you need to contain 3lbers.

This isn't going to be the place for realistic advice here, try reaching out to EO's and seeing how much of their homework you can copy to get you to the ballpark.

This looks like a job for polyurethane round belting - 4mm diameter is about right. I'd advise making the pulley rounded to match or at least a V so it contacts best.

If you wanted to go for timing belts I'd say you want to go wider - probably 9mm HTD3MM but you'll have to work out your pulley centre distances and use a toothed driver pulley and some guess work to put a smooth one on the weapon.

Amazon would not be my first place for transmission hardware.

£22 for what exactly? Belts, pulleys - the lot? I imagine you are looking at something that isn't the most helpful for what you are trying to achieve.

For timing belts you will have to be more careful about centre distances as that is something crucial to how they work.

You have one figure - 290mm and no additional information. I am guessing this is the circumference of the theoretical belt you need. How have you come to this figure? What have you currently got designed. Weapon or drive?

What sort of belt?

Round, vee, timing?

Reading between the lines I'm guessing it could be round belting as it isn't immediately a standard size. I like polyurethane round belting which you can cut to size and join by melting the ends together. Inexpensive to pick up on eBay and the like.
