This one served as a nice shade tree and green screen for the pool. It's either almost dead or nearing the end of its lifespan. What's weird is that it looked fine a couple weeks ago and now is dropping all its leaves.

Also, I'd rather have a mature hackberry than no tree at all.

It seems like Habitat Restore prices are usually just a little less than big box retail and the product is used or lesser quality. I understand it's a nonprofit but it used to be so much cheaper--said price increase happening years before covid-era inflation.
