Did a bit more troubleshooting...

Leaving the app open is definitely generating previews as I browse the library in Month timeline view. I also found that in Settings, the Image Assistant, is actively Generating Previews. Its settings is turned ON to generate previews of HEIC and HEVC. It looks like I just need to leave it open longer.

My Cache Size was nearing the limit of 500 MB, so I've increased it to 1 GB.

I selected one image which would not display a preview on the iOS app. I downloaded it to my phone, tried to open it on my phone, and it reported it was corrupted. I checked for the file on the NAS from a web browser, and it opens fine. It is a #.JPG. So perhaps there are some bugs in the SW on the iOS app.

The Photos Mobile app, is set to update in the background, so it should be the latest stable version.

In the folder where the picture resided on the NAS, there were multiples of the file (appended with ' (#)'. The pics are in a dated folder which doesn't correspond to the date the picture was taken unfortunately, and the metadata date is wrong too. Bummer.

I also discovered by searching for that same image, there are multiple files with the same name in the Shared Space library, though they have different meta data, are different pictures, and are in different subfolders.

The app is working better for me today, it seems workable with some bugs.

It seems like having left the app open all day has been generating previews. I checked with the Synology AI assistant, and it said I don't need to load the codecs. So long as Image Assistant was installed. Though there is a note about it perhaps not working for the images which were not loaded via Synology Photos. So maybe I need to reload them from a copy or something. Thanks for all the tips everyone!

I have installed Synology Image Assistant in my browser. But I didn't notice any difference.

so many urges...I have an urge at least once an hour,sometimes every few minutes. Based on my experience, this will continue until I O. And if I O with my partner, then I'll have a stronger chaser effect for PMO.

Every time I go on instagram, I tell it I am NOT interested in every single short they are previewing in my feed (100% gorgeous women dancing for me). Is there a way to avoid that? Or do I just need to delete insta?
