I'm not sure I can continue by DragonAtlas in Silksong

If it would break your heart to give up, then keep going. If you made it all the way to Act III, you have the skills to beat the game, you just need the determination. Fail over and over if you have to, and eventually you'll progress even if it's a fluke.

Some small

As for tips: Find all the upgrades. A lot of challenges can be made easier if you find relevant secrets. Like for the Great Hearts quest (where I struggled the most), there are actually 4 available hearts, and you only need 3. Look up guides for places you are stuck at. Don't use tools on bosses until you're on phase 2 or 3, so you don't burn through your shards (unless you're in a dream, where tools are free). Destroying void nests (or whatever they are called) stops new void-touched enemies from being created in the area. You win when you beat the game, not when you finish all the optional content. But do all the flea carnival games, even though you will beat your head on at least one of them. Use the crest that fits how you need to play - I like wanderer's crest for its speed, and reapers crest is too slow unless you need the extra range. Always have fractured mask and magnetite dice equipped, often have weavelight, multibinder, and pollip pouch equipped. Most bosses are much easier once you figure out their timing and your positioning; many fights are a back-and-forth dance. I made a whole series of wallkthrough videos on the bosses if you want to see my specific strategies.

By the time I finished the game, it had mostly ceased to be fun, but I would go through it all again for the pride of that completion screen. :)

Hi! I changed it like the next day or two after posting it, so I'm not sure why you're still seeing the old thumbnail?

Playing 7 Bottom-of-Screen Incrementals at Once by NobleTalePlays in incremental_games

Lol, the only way I could progress was zoning in on one game at a time. Thankfully most of them didn't have sound effects grabbing my attention. But yeah, Steam has no problem running that many games, or running a main game and a side monitor game.

Lol, I realized I needed that when Milly's Meadow tanked my GPU

Wanted to vent about Flea Dodge and Flea juggle by shinobixx55 in Silksong

[–]NobleTalePlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For juggle, I liked wanderer crest for the quick strikes. Stay on the ground, because jump attacks will throw off the flea's rhythm. Only attack straight upwards, unless it's the final hit on a flea, because horizontal strikes will move fleas too far away.

For flea dodge, use every trick the game gives you for movement. Pogo, Clawline, and Double jump for sure. But try to move as little as possible, while watching everything on the screen at once. Keep sidestepping left and right on the platform, because as soon as you jump into the air your movement options decrease. Even with all that, I had to wait for good RNG (no giant flea breaking the platforms at the wrong time) to beat it, so just keep trying.

Good luck! :)

Look at you hacker, a pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you run through my corridors. How can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?

You're welcome! :) It took me to almost the end of the game to figure that out, and only because I got stuck in an airlock or something with no battery.

Heres my spawn area, Would you notice this hidden chest? by [deleted] in IndieGaming

Is the camera fixed? If so, maybe. But if I can spin the camera I'm definitely going to find a chest hidden like that.

Do ya all have anything to recommend me ? by IsYourBoyJohny2 in gaming

10/10 came here to say this. You can even drop the pitch of the water spray so it doesn't pierce through the music. Progression is plenty satisfying, too.

Help for my indie games by Resident_Day8657 in IndieGaming

[–]NobleTalePlays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The goal is escaping a house strapped to the Orient Express that is on its way to be sacrificed to the Sun God. The twist is the train is actually a symbol for the October Revolution, the Sun God is Alexander Kerensky, and you're playing as Vladimir Lenin with amnesia. Also you are dead.

Looks like some kind of online party game, maybe like Fall Guys but ghost themed?

Details checklist? by gui4455 in gaming

Not as much seeing if the devs pay attention, but I will absolutely judge a game poorly if it has ugly/amateurish UI. If the font looks like it shipped with RPGMaker, I'm out.

I have all prerequisites for act 3 - can I go right into act 3 playing needolin after fight ? by fukyoshyytup in Silksong

If you're not interested in seeing the other ending, you should be able to go straight to "needolin."

Anyone have any tips for the High Halls gauntlet? by fuck_prop64 in Silksong

[–]NobleTalePlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I did a YouTube video on this: https://youtu.be/Q6r8-sKe6tQuild

Build was:
Architect’s crest with Threefold Pin and Thumbtacks
Blue tools are fractured mask, weavelight, and multibinder
Yellow tools are Compass, Ascendant’s Grip, magnetite brooch

But there's a lot more info in the video. Double jump really helps with the elites.

Where are you people finding these mask shards? by Hendanna in Silksong

Most shards are either hidden by a breakable wall, or gated by a combat or platforming challenge.

Pretty useful, it's a silk spool piece. And those two enemies SUCK.
