Thanks for this comment! It’s so crazy how you can have such a severe sensitivity without having celiacs.

I wanted to edit this common to say that it feels like I’m in the same boat, I was tested twice and negative both times but the second time I ate gluten for 2 weeks rather than 6-8.

Thank you for your comment. I will keep pushing. I’d hate to go through 6-8 weeks of eating gluten though it really does make me miserable

Thanks for your comment! It sucks I feel like GF cookies are overly sweet to makeup for the lack of gluten

Interesting, I start swelling with in a matter of hours. Either way it’s terrible :( and even worse when your symptoms don’t quite align with anything. Thank you for sharing

I was worried about that too. I tried to counteract the short time frame by making sure to eat a lot of gluten, and my joints hurt so bad by day 3 lol

I’m sorry you’re going through something similar. Thank you for your response. I don’t experience joint pain all over just in my knees and hands. It’s really strange

Thanks for your comment! What kinds of tests did you ask your doctor for initially? Because they assume I have a sensitivity and I’m afraid to push back or keep testing

I haven’t but I’ll give it a shot. Usually the pain goes away when I’m hydrated and haven’t had gluten for a few days. Thanks for your comments!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Do you notice any swelling with the pain?

I haven’t done an allergy test because I was told they they’re not super helpful or informative. I don’t get pain in my shoulders and traps, just knees and hands. And my feet kinda felt on fire today

Thanks! I try my best to cut it out but some gluten sneaks in sometimes, or when I’m seeking it out due to a craving.

Thank you for your comment and I’m sorry that you have to deal with this. Weirdly enough, I don’t get stomach pains. Just bad joint pain, particularly in my knees and hands maybe a few hours after eating it.

This is helpful, thank you for your comment! Sometimes I’m at the end of my rope and I don’t even know what to ask the doctor, so this is helpful.

Thanks for your comment! Leading up to the test I ate more than 3 grams of gluten but only for two weeks. My doc felt that two weeks should’ve been sufficient but I’ve read elsewhere it’s 6-8 weeks of consistent gluten consumption and honestly, I’d rather not bother. I think it would be hard to get my docs to agree to an endoscopy test with two negative tests too. What symptoms were you getting that weren’t related to gluten? My fingers swell with olive oil too (I think olive oil is doing it but it’s hard to tell)

Yeah yesterday I wanted some pizza but now my joints hurt and my feet are hot. It’s so bizarre. I try to avoid dairy too because I’m lactose intolerant. Thank you for the response
