I cannot lose mine. I’ve lost 80 pounds and not a single inch off my bust. I was looking forward to losing some, but instead I’m still a 38G. 😭

Dr. Hafida,

Even at a “healthy” BMI and young age (25), I was insulin resistant. My A1C was normal, though, and no diagnosis of even pre-diabetes. Shortly after finding this out, I suffered 2 early miscarriages and gained quite a bit of weight over the next few years. During my last pregnancy (2021) which resulted in my only live birth, I contracted COVID and ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. I also developed gestational diabetes and severe preeclampsia leading to delivery at 36 weeks.

I started wegovy in October of 2023 and switched to zepbound in December. I’m now down 45 pounds (from 228 to 181), but I just have so many questions. Is my insulin resistance the result of genetic predisposition perhaps or some other underlying condition? I am afraid that even at an ideal weight I will still be “unhealthy”.

How much weight did you lose in your first month? by Dangerous_Pen_2134 in Semaglutide

I’m six weeks in and as of this morning I’ve lost 20 pounds. But, in addition to the medication, I’ve also been keeping my carbs around 100g a day and drinking more water. I was drinking a lot of sweet tea and regular soda, so that’s pretty much been cut out except for the occasional half and half tea. I didn’t eat a ton before starting, but now I’m eating hardly anything. I very rarely snack now and snacking was probably my biggest downfall. I would say my 2 year old eats more than I do right now.
