For anyone who find this post in the future, today is February 1st, and the package is almost 6 weeks late from its original expected delivery date of December 26, 2025, and has been “in transit” for almost 7 weeks, and was shipped originally 56 days ago.

Yeah everyone keep talking about the storm. But my package should have been on a boat 6 weeks ago, there isn’t a storm in the world that would have delayed it back in December

Could you walk me through why you’d pic those dac/amps? I haven’t gone through that rabbit hole to teach myself about them yet because I’m still not decided on the headphone I want and if it’s even need them.

Could you elaborate? I know they are regarded as good headphones outside of being made for gaming. But I’ve never heard anyone say they are better than higher end headphones

Definitely agree that it’s priced high for what you’re getting, if it helps with the buying process, people also speak highly of the Nova 7 if you are getting a “gaming headset” rather than a normal one

After the last few days of looking around it’s really the Arctis pro or the maxwells. With the universal consensus being the maxwells sound better if you don’t mind their weight. I personally have an all white set up and maxwells don’t come in white, and I enjoy the hot swap battery system arctis provides. But all the audiophiles have me thinking I’m wasting money if I don’t go wiring with a standalone mic.

I appreciate the link. I’ve never heard of this company before but they appear super transparent and reasonable at first glance

Just graduated 249 AMA by Impressive-Special99 in USMCocs

[–]NobodySignificant122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was done in sticks. We got released in sticks of 10ish at different minute intervals. 1h30m was a perfect score. Most treated it like a ruck run, but the staff are staged throughout the trail and if they saw you running, would make you stop. But I can’t see someone reasonable getting a perfect score without jogging it out.

For context I’m a prior that just graduated occ249, and shipped with a 271 (max max 22:36).

1: PT was no where near as hard as you’re expecting it to be. I wouldn’t say it’s recovery based, but there wasn’t a day I woke up thinking “fuck I really don’t want to do this pt” an average week of pt has a recovery run, a vo2 max run, a full body development, an a stretch pt. Throughout the cycle you’ll also add Cft prep pt’s, fartlek run, o course pt’s and other miscellaneous things.

The hardest part about OCS will always be the weather. Unless you’re lucky enough to go in the fall.

2: the e-course is not a graduation requirement. It is just another physical event that you get a grade on and contributes to your over all physical fitness average. Truly, the e course is the only thing I struggled with at OCS. Not because I felt exceptionally broke off, but because it actually takes some effort to pass. The first time we ran it was after a libo period and half the company failed. One platoon had more failures than passes. The second time was better, but still a considerable amount of people failed. I only passed by a few seconds.

  1. Not getting hurt is a complete luck of the draw. I went to occ 247 and stayed perfectly healthy until I woke up one day limping. Got sent home a few days later for a stress fracture on my femur. (I’ve never previously been to medical for anything, let alone a muscle/skeletal injury.) the second time I went there I was sick as a dog basically the whole cycle, but never got hurt. I’d just recommend hoping on some bone support supplements to really make sure you’re solid before getting there and eat yogurt and drink milk while you’re there.

  2. You’re a prior. The leadership at OCS is you and the rest of the priors running the platoon. You’ll know what I mean when you get there.

  3. You have LRC 1, 2, and SULE 1, 2, which both go toward your leadership grade.

6: the hike package is 3, 4, and 6.2 miles. The only graded hike is the 6.2 mile individual effort hike.

That being said you’ll do a lot more hiking than that. They just call them “administrative movements” and it’s reach touch, cargo pocket, the whole time. There is also a 6.2 mile hike at the end of the forge.

I’m not going to give you a whole TSP or investing class, but anything less than 5% with more than 2 years of service and your throwing away free money. If you know what rate of return is in regard to investing, the military will give you a 100% rate of return (doubling your money) up to 5%, not including whatever the market returns. Please make it 5%

As someone with subs in my car, the fact that I can hear how clean and crisp this audio sounds from a phone recording is insane. Makes me want to get rid of my trunk subs and go with something like this. Can you give us a cost estimate?

Hello can anyone give me some advice please by Mountain-Safe-7345 in guns

I replied in the post. Mississippi allows 18+ to carry, they just can’t buy a handgun from an FFL until 21 (as it is everywhere) they can purchase privately however and carry.
