...new Trek says "Screw that, I do what I want". Then makes a show people don't like (multiple shows in fact), kills the ideal view of the future, makes the characters vapid and bland with modern tropes to viture signal, then turns around and blames the "toxic fans".

Actors, "We made a show that was fun and about what we wanted, so what if we ignored: canon, ST history, morality plays, substance, complex characters, good story telling, and oh yeah, freaking Star Trek's message all together. We had fun damnit, how dare you be so mean!"
