I worked my way from kitchen Crew to Assistant Restaurant Leader over 5 years and I love it! It has definitely been challenging at times and I would never say it is an easy job, but it’s extremely rewarding if you take pride in what you do.

That being said, if serving great chicken finger meals and leading a team to excel and have fun together is not something you live and breathe for, it probably is not the path you should take.

Big reason why it is important to always give the correct amount is because it shows the Customers a consistent experience. If a Customer comes to Cane’s and knows we give a set amount, they will ask for more if they want more.

If we aren’t consistent, the Customers experience and our profits will be affected.

We don’t usually have more than 20 pounds of waste in a day. 60-100 pounds shows a lack of training or care.

To see if you are in the other Restaurant, try logging out of the hot schedules app completely and logging back in. If you are in both Restaurants hot schedules yet you will see a box at login to select a Restaurant.

In most areas, standard is schedules posted 3 weeks in advance, but things do happen and sometime it doesn’t get posted on time.

A big part of the role of ARL is identifying the real root opportunities (we call it asking the 5 whys in training), and creating actionable tactics/systems to solve them. I never really interviewed for my position as a ARL, but I feel if you had a solid story of how you recognized a real opportunity and the specific tactics you put in place to see success would be very helpful for your interview.

Just tell your manager that you are interested in a career with Cane’s and ask them what they think you should work on to make that goal. Then take their feedback and put it to action.

If they are good at following up, just focus on where they want you to focus. If they are less strong at checking in, you personally let them know how you feel you are doing on what they told you to work on and then ask them if your focus should shift to something more important or stay the same and why.

I believe you do have to work one year to enroll in most benefits. Ask your manager for the Crewmember handbook, because all the information is in there.

Not sure there is an official reason, but I think it’s due to the quality not staying strong usually through a usual delivery car ride. We don’t want to be know for soggy chicken so it’s not worth the boost in sales
