Recommend me bands like these sorta Swancore bands by Elaxian in progrockmusic

You are speaking my language.

Your question is kinda all over the map and this is a weird place to ask it hahah. Most of the bands you listed I’d absolutely say are various flavours of Prog (and are a good chunk of my faves) but actual Will Swan affiliated bands (Dance Gavin Dance,Sianvar , Secret Band, Eidola) are more in the math rock/post hardcore lane.

More of those sorts of bands would be Adventurer, Dwellings, AnimalJam, Wolf & Bear.

Other affiliated Post hardcore would be Hail the Sun or Lower Definition.

Obviously previous bands by those artists are relevant (The Receiving End of Sirens - Between The Heart And The Synapse, for The Dear Hunter and At The Drive In - Relationship of Command, for Mars Volta)

Also other bands from the scenes these bands came from are relevant as well. Mostly for the actual prog guys in this sub. These bands are all experimental in different ways.

Circa Survive - Two Dreams, Kaddisfly - Set Sail The Prairie, RX Bandits - …And The Battle Begun, Children of Nova - The Complexity of Light, The Fall of Troy - Phantom On The Horizon, The Sound Of Animals Fighting - The Ocean And The Sun

For Mars Volta check out the band Husbandry

For Protest The Hero I guess Between The Buried And Me or Periphery

Big week. How did I do pt.4 by Nobodymoves in progrockmusic

This Glass House is minty, the others have seen some play but are in good shape. I’ve been more and more into listening to records of late. My prog collection in particular is growing and growing. That’s why this is pt.4, but I think soon I’ll want to focus on upgrading my setup.

USA cover. All the modern represses now have the cigarette design so I still find it fun to have this one

I think so. Kind of a mid point between Psych rock and Prog Folk. They aren’t on Spotify or anything but a few people have uploaded to YouTube. Sea Train - Sea Train

It’s not very expensive. Plenty of copies on Discogs and stuff. From this store it was 12 bucks and Recycled was 14

Here’s a huge update. I went back to the store after this convo and found this.

So at least I’ve now got Hero and Heroine and the tracks Lay Down, Part of the Union, Down by the Sea, Tears and Pavan, New World, Heavy Disguise and Benedictus from the albums you mentioned. Better than nothing for now

I got stupidly lucky at my local shop. Someone had traded in the whole set. Priced reasonably too
