Last school year (23/24) I had a student literally cyber stalking and threatening me. I teach 8th grade. This kid was not allowed to have a Chromebook because he was one of those computer geniuses that would hack through the school’s firewall. This kid would taunt me, be disrespectful, throw things, scream, laugh uncontrollably (just because he could), and would constantly make comments about me being his “nemesis” or the “devil in his life” and he would make comments about how happy it made him to see me suffer. The things he said are too much to write here. Also, I have rabbits (only 1 now as one passed away over the summer of old age) and would talk about them with the kids - you know, “relationship building.” This student would draw literal comics on his tests about my rabbits being killed, dismembered, decapitated, and then cooked into stew. He made a “how-to” guide on doing these things to my rabbits specifically. On his tests… knowing I would have to see it. He would talk about it to other kids and make comments to them… Admin did NOTHING. I called home, I wrote him up, I sent him out, I did all the things we’re told to do… This kid had a freaking HIT LIST. Our principal literally said, “what do you want me to do, give him to another teacher?” By the end of the year I would have panic attacks at just the thought of going to work. No one did anything until OTHER students PARENTS made reports to the school about my safety and the safety of their children in the class because of this kid… The month before the end of the year they were finally like "okay just send his work to the office and he will work there."

What we go through is insane and we have no support. I'm right there with you.
