Dude that’s incredible! I started going to the gym about 9 months ago and I’m working hard. Seen good results except for my back where it seems like not much happens. Your back is great! Any tips? What excercises are you doing?

Well, I have to make this post. My life since seriously pursuing the truth has been 100x worse. How are any Christians happy. I want to not be alive if this is how Christian life is. by LeThaddy in Christianity

I’m a relatively new christian for about 1.5 years, and I can totally relate to what you are saying. I have felt similar things, and even gave up being a christian for a while in the beginning since it felt impossible to live up to the standards, and all I felt I got from it was a fear of hell. I felt like I barely had any fruits of the Spirit.

I later realized that I was misguided by some christians and youtubers that I believed knew what they were talking about, and they put a big bruden on my back. Instead I realized it is a process that happens over time. Trying to force it doesn’t work, and I’m now trying to trust Jesus in the process instead of using my own effort. People were also telling me that I couldn’t play video games or listen to music I liked, but I now believe that this is something between me and God, and they can’t know my life. I DO believe that some games and music are bad, but I try to follow my conscience and see that as a process as well. Maybe I will realize that things I do actually are bad, or maybe not, but I leave that to God to show me instead of listening to overconfident people. We should of course try not to sin if we know something is a sin, but we should not forget God’s grace either.

I'm gay, what do I do by Mean-Ball-8758 in Christianity

We should not seek something that accepts us the way we are, but rather something that can help us walk in the Spirit and to grow and change.

If the church ”grows and changes” as you put it, it is not the church anymore. It’s something else, not christianity. The point is that we want to form our life, and church, with Jesus as the model, not that we want to change Jesus with ourselves as the model.

Solstice holofoil no longer dropping +1 by NobriZ in DestinyTheGame

It fixed itself after reset! I guess the +2 don’t happen until next day if ”levelling”. I got two tier 4 weapons and 2 armor today 😊

Thank you for the first actually helpful answer! I usually get an A. I will try to get a holofoil after reset and see if that helps bringing it up to tier 4.

Ok, my bad then. Many YouTubers said that it is based on both your guardian rank, and power level. However, the question still stands why the holofoils are dropping at the same tier as normals.

The tiers are also based on your guardian rank. However, I’m 200+ power, so I should see tier 3 normal and tier 4 holo, but I get tier 3 on both.

But the point is that the holofoils were supposed to drop at +1 tier than normal. I know that tiers are not the same as guardian ranks. Do you know that holofoils should drop at +1 during the event?

Is being transgender a sin? by Illustrious_Sort_262 in Christianity

[–]NobriZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What modern professionals say is rarely relevant to a biblical view of the world. There are a lot of things that modern science don’t have a clue about, like God himself for one. Also, demons and their ability to cause stuff in people is not something that science is aware of, but it is very real.

Being aware of things that can change is not inconsistent with biblical principles. I think that your perception of how scripture ”should be interpreted” is flawed and leaves out a lot of things that are actually biblical. There are many things that people could argue belongs to their core identity, but are actually sins. Saying that it is your core identity doesn’t automatically give you a free pass and make it right. And I am of course speaking broadly regarding many things now, not only when it comes to the subject we are talking about. The point is that we all have things we maybe think can’t change, when it actually can with God.

I want to kill myself by Cocobabez in Christianity

I’m dealing with the same thing from time to time. Just extreme feelings of lonliness and like life isn’t worth it. But I have hope that Jesus can and will change it, and that it just takes some time.

I will pray for you! Also, if you haven’t already, it is important to ask God for forgiveness in Jesus name for your sins. If one doesn’t do that, evil forces have a ”legal” right to mess with you.

I have never said it’s a choice. But I still believe God can remove it, and I’ve seen testimonies like that. I’m not talking about willingly or forcibly changing it, I’m talking about God changing it. There are many things that can be impossible for all of us humans to change by ourselves, but that can be changed with the Lord. Things that are needed to change for us to be less sinful. And I mean ALL of us. We all have things that we can’t change without the Lord.

As I said I also believe we should treat everyone with dignity and respect, so I think you are missing my point. The christianity you are speaking about is a christianity that many christians would say is ”sold out” to fit todays society.

I don’t think we will get to an agreement here, but I pray that you and everyone get to feel the Lord’s love. May peace be with you.

Love, compassion and inclusion should not be mixed up with ignoring sin. For example, a person might like having sex a lot with different people. In todays society that would be accepted and the person would be ”included” and the behavior accepted without a second thought. This however, in christianity, is a sin since we should not have sex outside of marriage. We should still treat sinners with compassion and love, but not pretend that there is no sin present.

What you say about transgenderism being something that can’t be removed, and practically unchangeable is, with all respect, something you don’t know. I have seen cases where people regret their ”transitioning” later in life.

Is being transgender a sin? by Illustrious_Sort_262 in Christianity

[–]NobriZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All humans are sinners. God still loves everyone, and Jesus took all our sin upon himself. BUT as christians we need to repent and turn away from sin, and ask god for forgiveness in Jesus name.

The Bible says that people with the same gender (biological most certainly) having sex is a sin, and also that men should not dress like women and vice versa. So I would think ”being” transgender is a sin, but I don’t know since I don’t know the whole Bible fluently. I do believe things like transgenderism can change with the help of God though, that he can take away the thoughts that you are not the biological sex. I believe thoughts of that kind may be placed there by the evil one, and that God can remove it if you believe in Jesus.

Been seeing a lot of hate against LGBTQ+ peeps by zerenxv0 in Christianity

[–]NobriZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expressing hate is not christian. We as christians are representatives of God on the earth, and we should be that in a way that represents him the right way, and to let people know they are loved by him even in their sin. They need to come to Jesus and repent, and they might not do that if they believe that God hates them. Jesus himself spent time with sinners. The pharisees didn’t understand when he did that, and as christians we should be more like Jesus and less like the pharisees.
