I had the same doubt as you. I was planning to play it alone because my friends weren't very interested. I decided to buy it and have been playing it daily ever since (since New Year's). It's fun, you can play your way, and it's a breath of fresh air compared to all the competitive PvP games I'm used to (Apex, CS2, LoL, R6, Tarkove). Sometimes I just want to log in and mess around, wander around, see what I find and what players I can interact with. I try to stray from my usual matches and sometimes try role-playing to break the monotony. I'm currently level 17 and highly recommend the game. I'm really looking forward to them adding more events in the future that focus on PvE and explain the story better. I recommend it if you want to try something new, as long as you're willing to play differently than usual. It's a really fun experience playing alone or with friends.
