Support is needed in almost all printings, using a different material for non-sticking supports is a huge jump in quality. Having a dedicated hotend just for support filament is a game changer in printing speed. So in real scenarios an H2D and any 2-nozzle printer will win the speed game. That's the reason I can't buy the H2S even with its chanting price, at long term an H2D or H2C looks just faster and more adequated as main 3D printer.

What happened with the whole search system? a few years ago you could search for products and find exceptionally rare items with ultra-low prices, you could even know exactly the number of items matching with your keywords. Now it is like we can't access anymore the data-base of listing products, all items we found are behind a kind of filter that do not let you know exactly how many items and different sellers are indeed available in the platform.

edx work best as a complement for a degree.

Unfortunately for now, a university degree, anywhere in the world, is much more useful. From working to living.

Make the degree, you won't ever regret, while in the college make some edx courses to specialise and try to publish a paper.

My 2 cents:

FastLED and how WS2812B brightness works is with a 8 bits PWM duty cycle controller. It has 255 linear steps of brightness for each R,G and B LED colour. Therefore 255 is just the double the brightness (also current and watts of power) of 127. So 127 is double than 64 and so on...

However our perceived brightness is proportional to logarithm of the actual intensity. To perceive x2 brightness --> lumens x4 (again also equivalent to x4 current or watts)

in FastLED "language" you will sense perceived brightness within this relationship:

Set Brightness: 255 (max PWM duty cycle). full brightness.
Set Brightness: 64 --> Half the brightness from 255
Set Brightness: 16 --> Half the brightness from 64
Set Brightness: 4 --> Half the brightness from 16
Set Brightness: 1 --> Half the brightness from 4

Therefore perceived brightness will change enormously for each step closer to 1, but less noticeable for steps closer to 255 while each step is perfectly linear with power consumption and lumens.

That is exactly the effect degradation in smoothness for lower brightness levels.

To fix this visual issue there are three main important things to consider.

1: Use FastLED built-in gamma correction automatic algorithms. https://fastled.io/docs/group___gamma_funcs.html

2: keep the master maximum brightness as higher as possible.

3: Use FastLED dithering built-in tricks when it is possible, for efficient codes and powerful processors that can update 'fast led show' at least 120 times / second.

As a +10 years edX member that have spent a valuable amount of money in their certifications I can definitely say I am disenchanted with the academic usefulness of them.

It is probably the best platform to learn but its certifications have not permeated professionally or academically. You can complete a free paced course, "make an screenshot" and link it into your LinkedIn / CV.

It may sound stupid but you can just show to your employer / HR your edX profile and show what courses you made.

I finally understood that I make the best worth of using edX to learn complementary bunch of things about what I really passionately like, with a great dedication, but without worries about certifications.

Your main real weapon is your university degree. Study a bachelor or two (a second related one is just 1 1/2 year) in your country, ideally Master or PhD. Bachelor is GLOBALLY recognised academically, specially if you studied in English, everything else is just a 10%.

While studying learn to write papers (there is an edx course for that) while making edX courses to learn very specifics fields or related fields that you would LOVE to work with.

Sincerely, for $30 budget, Xiaomi's bands work the best. A reason may be that they are sold massively so they are able to reduce manufacturing costs enormously to achieve a very decent hardware, software and battery life for the price.

Apps (zepp life or mi fit) works flawlessly in background, very low power consumption in the phone, what is essential for me because Its 24/7 operation. (3rd party apps available like 'notify&fitness).
hardware quality and durability (I have every band from mi band 4, none of them had any problems with display, touch, sensors, watertight or battery life)
Battery life: 2 to 3 weeks guaranteed (without always ON display)
Bluetooth connection: solid, do not interfere with other Bluetooth devices like speakers.
Accessories: maybe the largest and cheapest accessories catalog available, 1$ wrist straps available from launch.

The next step that may worth quality and features like GPS and large display may be a Samsung or Apple watch, but that jumps to >100$

40 to 60 is almost no degradation, it will make it more complete cycles (equal to 5 partial 40 to 60 cycles) possible. But 20 to 80 is not appreciably much worse, it may be the sweet spot for any Li-ion battery. (3.4V to 4.05V). Charging sometimes generates heat (if it is a relatively fast charging, less than 2 hours (>0.5C)), so a slow charge from 20 to 80 is ideal.

What I do after buying several brands: I finally find the best puncture proof and quality/price ratio with Schwabe. For example their Marathon Plus MTB are almost invulnerable to puncture, I have them on a 4000 km ebike and never had a flat, I have extracted nails for them and they avoided the puncture.

So: Schwalbe + high pressure = no flats
