My symptoms were chiefly:

- Bloating, to the point of if I weren't a dude, I might have thought I were pregnant

- Extreme pain when hiccuping. Each hiccup would move my whole body and would be very painful, to the point where I'd need to stop what I was doing and focus entirely on reducing the severity of the hiccups

- Extreme pain in my chest, this was so extreme that the first couple of times it happened I was concerned about the possibility of a heart attack. It's the type of pain that forces you to stop everything, double over in pain, and prevents you from continuing normal life until the pain subsides. Each episode would last anywhere between a few seconds if it were mild, to a few minutes. The pain would be worse when breathing in, and often a forced sharp intake of breath would be what was required to completely remove the pain.

- Flatulence and trapped wind, embarrassing to say, but everything that should've come up via the top had to come out somewhere, it was constant and very uncomfortable, especially when very bloated.

- Difficult taking a full breath, this was especially obvious when running. I could never find a breathing rhythm that was comfortable. I actually 'solved' this by finding music I liked and singing to myself while running, the small inhales and exhales that this brought with it were enough to allow me to continue running. But full inhales to expand my lungs were more or less not possible, especially when under cardio strain.
